[SIZE=+2]San Jose to be broadcast online[/SIZE] The SAP Open, the Bay Area’s premier men’s professional tennis tournament has teamed with B2 Networks to offer live streaming of all SAP Open matches originating from HP Pavilion. This marks the first webcast for the prestigious ATP circuit stop in San Jose that runs from February 12-18.

The SAP Open will feature American superstars Andy Roddick, James Blake and Mardy Fish, plus defending champion Brit Andy Murray, two-time Grand Slam winner Russian Marat Safin, Germany’s Nicolas Kiefer and Korean #1 Hyung-Taik Lee. Other countries currently represented in the player field include Thailand, Spain, Denmark, Canada, Croatia and Chinese Taipei.

Fans interested in watching matches online will simply hit www.sapopentennis.com and click on the words WATCH LIVE beginning on Monday, February 12. Beginning with the first serve on Monday at 9:30 a.m. PST, fans from all over the world with internet access will be able to enjoy watching matches through to the conclusion of tournament week on Sunday, February 18.

Daily coverage begins at 9:30 a.m. PST Monday-Thursday and continues at later times on Friday (11 a.m. PST), Saturday (1:00 p.m.) and Sunday (3:00 p.m.). Any one-session “daily pass” is US$9.99 and a weeklong pass for the entire tournament is just US$29.99.

LOL!! i started reading this and started thinking wow, this is awesome, i'll be able to at least watch the matches even if i might miss them on tv....

then comes......$9.99 for a DAILY PASS???? ....$29.99 for the ENTIRE tournament??

it was like $5 for the entire TMC last year!!

$30 is extremely excessive for such a low level tournament. If I remember correctly it didnt cost that much to have full access to wimbledon, and I am assuming Wimbledon had much better quality and even had access to downloading matches!

I guess they're banking on tennis fans being desperate for broadcasts. Funny that they said one week is "just" $29.95.

Well, there is some Fox Sports coverage, but it looks like even fewer of their regionals picked it up than last year. (Fox is not a national network like ESPN, it's a group of regional networks that are allowed to decide a lot of their own schedule).

I'm not able to go this year so this is some awesome news.

It is Awsome but would there be alot of freezing problems, i have cable internet but these things sometimes slow down or freeze if there is too many people on the site. Would we see such problems?

Wimbledon was $19.99 so I agree with you that this event is out of line with the pricing.

i'm gonna be at the sap open 3 times next week. sometimes on either monday or tuesday, friday morning for the quarters, and either for the semi's or finals so i'll be sure to take some pics and videos and post them on here.
