Serving with Platform stance, do you guys push with both legs or only the front leg?

I notice most pros (Sampras for example) push with only the front leg. The back leg kicks away only for balance purposes. It also depends when you start your weight transfer from your back foot to your front foot. I have been experimenting the timing of weight transfer and find that my serve is more consistent if I push with both legs. However, I seem to get more pace if I push with my front leg only. Can anybody comment on this? Just wondering how you guys are doing when serving with platform stance. Thanks!

I am not a very analytical player, but I think I push with both legs. However, when I really want to go after it, and I get my toss into the court, I would imagine most of the push comes from the front leg.

I push with both legs, but I tend to begin my serve by loading up my back leg first and using it to shift my weight forwards then pushing off more with the front leg as I spring forward into the serve.

I just wonder, did Pete really only push off with one leg? One leg may go into the air first, but you will need the push from both legs to spring into the serve - IMHO. I could be wrong. Just asking.

BTW- Tennis magazine does a breakdown of both Sampras' and Roddick's serve in the new issue.
