Sexing up my Pro Staff Classic 18x20s

For the last 1 ½ years I have been using a hybrid of MSV Hex 1.23 in the Mains and Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex 1.30 in the crosses of my Pro Staff Classic 6.1 18x20s. I recently had a practice hit with a friends stick that had Lux Rough and Tecnifibre Biphase in it. I felt like the balls dwelt more on the string bed, and noticed an improvement in pace, spin and control. My current setup feels like the ball is just immediately coming off the racquet, like it has been deflected. Its a killer on touch shots.

Now, there is no way I can afford Lux/Biphase combos often, so have been leafing through these threads trying to dream up my own hybrid that might do a reasonably close job. I’m looking to try these strings in different combos:

Volkl Cyclone 1.25
Mantis Comfort Synthetic 1.30 (Multifilament)
Mantis Power Synthetic 1.25 (Multifilament)
Weiscannon Silverstring 1.20
Signum Plasma Pure 1.23

Note I have not included Cyclone as a cross due to its shape and danger of cutting into the mains. Where I have put poly crosses, I have used smooth polys. I think ideally I would like a Multi mains to make my stick softer and give me more touch. I play a lot of doubles and want a hybrid that is suitable for volleys and touch shots, although singles is my priority. The hybrids in green stand out as the most playable in theory due to the thinner gauges.

I am ready to order, but I guess I am looking to find out if people think I am being logical with these options before I press the Checkout button!

Thanks PVAudio, hilarious name, I had not heard of that string before, very thin gauge too.

Do you think a 1.16 gauge string would have decent durability in crosses? I felt the Silverstring at 1.20 was pushing it!
