I am looking to buy a NOKIA phone, model number N-93 or N-93i cause they have the best camara in the market on the phone itself and also has large memory capacity to store thousands of songs + many other features. These phones normally cost from $600 to $750. N-93i has not even been released in US market yet i believe. N-93 has been discontinued since last month. I found this guy in E-bay that is selling N-93 at $100, claiming it is brand new, never been used and in the original Box. He is also selling N-93i, brand new phone by Nokia at $400. Should i trust this guy that these are really brand new and buy this phone at such a great savings ?? Is E-bay reliable ?? any recourse if he sends me a broken phone ? what if he never sends anything at all ??

I wouldn't touch it. Too many potential issues. Can't trust feedback either, because some traders exchange refunds (not inc postage) for +ve feedback so never appear nasty but still make money on the buyers who don't complain/back off or don't realise there's something wrong (counterfeit etc).

Do NOT bid. If you bid, DO NOT PAY. That has scam on in neon lights. If **** is alert, they will pull that one down, but you can't count on them doing it.

If you are careful I think it is a good deal. But you should weight your options. Because everyone wants the iphone. So just weight your optiond and be careful

but people are bidding on it, it is now up to $285. not sure if i should take the risk??

People can be genuine bidders or people in on the scam, that is scumbag dealers will have 'friends' bid up the price.

Mobile phones have extremely short self lifes(< 12 months) before being replaced with a newer 'better' model. Why not wait 12 months when today's premium priced feature will be a more reasonable priced standard feature in most mid to high end offerings.

'any recourse if he sends me a broken phone ? what if he never sends anything at all'

Scams happen so much on eebaay the police won't do anything unless they think some organised crime ring is at work instead of a small time crook. THe authorities simply don't have the resources to chase the small time scammers and the scammers know it.

I can't really tell, it saids he is in poland but the item is in cleaveland.

That should tell you right there it's not legit. Listen to those who have already spoken, and I'll repeat again: This smells worse than 3 day old fish.

P.S. I bought an awesome unlocked Nokia 6300 from Aria Cellular on the auction site, but they have respectable ratings and have been around a while. I will only buy GSM Euro phones from trusted sources. Everything else is like just mailing your money away.
