What cell phone should I buy?

So I need a new cell phone as my old one is breaking down and way outdated. I DO NOT need internet, the phone will simply be used to talk and text. I prefer using this company called Page Plus Cellular since it has a great talk and text deal for 30/month. The only thing, is you have to use a verizon phone that is compatible with it: http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/Verizon_Handsets_and_Page_Plus

Out of the phones that work, which would you suggest? A QWERTY keyboard is a must for me, but I don't a need a touchscreen or anything. I also don't need a smart phone since I won't use internet. I am planning to buy one new without a contract off the bay. I don't want to spend more than 200 on anything.

Would you mind using a 2-year-old Blackberry Curve 83xx series? It is technically a smartphone without a touchscreen, but you can get an old model for next to nothing, and use it without internet. The advantage is that you get easily the best qwerty keypad in the cellphone world, with very good call quality. RIM wrote the book on beautiful and functional keypads.

I think you should certainly try to narrow it down, and then look to have a play with them before purchasing.

I bought an iPhone, only to find out there is no way to find out the time when texts are sent and received! Such a trivial little thing like that has caused no-end of inconvenience You can swap texts with someone over the space of a few hours and have no reference point at all. Such a shame, but I learnt my lesson and will certainly look to test drive a phone in store when I go to get it replaced.

I'd get a Droid X or Droid 2. You can get one for free on Amazon with a 2 year contract with Verizon.
