i've searched on google and checked manual (PDF file) but they don't say nothing about how long does it take to charge battery full. so is there anyone who owns this machine and let me know how long does it take to get it to full charged. i don't have the machine yet but thinking getting this one but i'm really concern if it takes too long to charge

thanks

I don't have this one but I have an older SP machine. When I'm finished, I plug it in and it's fully charged the next morning/day.

As far as I know, all ball machines use similar lead acid batteries so I'd suspect they all charge similarly. It is known that some do not come with smart chargers and others come with quick chargers.

I thought when I bought my Silent Partner it gave a big range. Batteries are hard to gauge. They wear out at different rates also - I've gotten 1 year out of one; 2 years out of the next (same amount of usage).

I'm with @dak95_00 - I hit in the morning; get home and plug it in right away - every time. And it's always done sometime before I go to bed - and ready for the next morning.

Edit: email the guys at sptennis.com - they are always responsive.

Do you play everyday? Mine has two batteries and I just replaced one after 6 years of use but not the other. I would've bought two but I didn't realize it had two at the time. I'm not certain I actually needed to either. I learned later that my charger was acting funny and needed unplugged to reset itself.

A smart charger charges to a full load and then submits a trickle charge to keep the battery at full capacity. Lead acid batteries will lose their charge over time but the smart charger keeps it from happening.

A dumb charger just keeps sending in a charge and leaves it to the user/owner to unplug when they think they have a full charge. Good luck with that! It's also possible to overcharge and explode a battery. I've done it!

A quick charger must just send more juice faster. I don't know if that's good for the battery. Hopefully, it has a smart charger capability to it. If not, it's not worth it.

You want a smart charger!!!!!
