Slazenger NX One: 3 versions?

Okay, I picked one of the "lightweight" versions from Dick's Sporting Goods, 292 grams unstrung, 98 sq. in., 16x19, 21 beam width, 64 RA.
I also ordered one from the UK (Millet Sports) that was advertised at 320 grams unstrung, I've also seen pics and others have indicated they have the 320 gram model, but......
Here are the specs of the NX One that arrived at the door today: 305 grams unstrung, 97 sq.in., 16x18, thinner beam width, 64 RA - this is definitely not the same mold as the lighter model.
So it seems there are 3 versions floating around: 292, 305, 320 grams unstrung, with at least 2 different molds, you can always drill the same racket 16x19 or 16x18, but the beam width is definitely different.
This explains some of the confusion surrounding this sticks "specs".

Alfa,

Does your "Brit" NX1 say 320g inside the hoop, as many posted pictures here have shown? Maybe they mean strung weight as 320g? Regardless, it's pretty odd that one is 16x18 and the other is 16x19 with different beam widths. Let us know which version you prefer. Seems I can get one easier and for pretty much the same $ from the UK.

Actually, after just checking M-i-l-l-e-t site, it states the weight is 320g strung with a 20mm beam, head heavy balance. Aye aye aye.

KT - just got back from vacation, sorry for the late response. I'm pretty sure someone posted pics of an NX One that had 320 grams unstrung printed on the frame (I haven't gone back and done a search yet). The 305 (unstrung) version appears to be the Dunlop 200G HM XL mold (albeit the NX One is a standard length) while the 292 unstrung version is a 300G mold. Not sure when I'll be able to post pics, but pretty sure about the molds based on beam widths, throats, etc. Haven't got a chance to hit with the 305 yet, but it definitely seems a more substantial frame.

Alfa,

Or how about the Slaz Nx 1 and Dunlop Mfil 200 plus 2006 being pretty much the same racquet. Same parent company. Both 97in and 20mm beam width. Mfil weighs 323g strung, Slaz is 320g strung. Heck, they have pretty much the same paint job. I guess the only difference may be the balance point. After hearing your thoughts on the UK version, I may bite the bullet and order one for myself, though I'm bummed that no one offers it in an L5.

Forgot to mention, they both have the same stiffness (64). Maybe I should save a few bones and get the Dunlop? Nah, the Slaz has the cool factor.

KT (or anyone) - drop me an e-mail if you have any interest in the 292 gram version (alfa164164@aol.com) in a 5/8 grip
I agree, that the 2006 200 M-Fil Plus (std. length) seems almost identical to the 200G Hot Melt XL (apart from length) which seems identical to the UK 305 gram Slaz NX One.
This is the tennis equivalent of automakers recycling or sharing car platforms and parts bins in an effort to cut costs.

Sorry I don't have an update, but I haven't had a chance to hit for the last 2 weeks. I was planning on playing this Thursday, but will be going to the Cincy tournament instead, so it probably won't be until next week until I post something. But, I definitely will post some info. as soon as I get the hits in.

Thanks, Alfa! I lived in The Nati for 2 years and that is still my favorite tourney to attend. Very fan-friendly. Don't forget the Skyline Chili !

FYI: Millet's confirmed with me that they only sell and are only able to obtain the 320g STRUNG version, and that the 320g UN-STRUNG version was only available in the USA (but not a Dick's apparently).

Is the NX ONE a repainted 2006 MFIL 200G 16 x 19?

007 - the NX One (UK) is a 16x18 pattern, ***** US version is 16x19. I've never tried the 2006 M-Fil, but if it is 16x18 it is possible. Is it an updated version of the 200G Hot Melt XL?
KT - I agree the Cincy tournament is extremely fan friendly. While Cincy doesn't have the non-tennis distractions that make Miami and New York great places to visit, for pure tennis watching I think Cincy is the best.
Plus Skyline chili and Graeter's ice cream.
