I read Marius stating that Fed is in the air when the server makes contact.
I have always been taught to land on my feet at the moment of the server's impact. In otherwords, up and the toss and land at the moment of impact.
Which is correct?

thanks, ken

If you jump at the moment of tossing and land at the moment of impact....what a hell of jump that must be....

Serious man, how high do you jump?

I mean the split step of the returner based upon the motion of the server

I always split step at the contact of the ball. The whole key is to read what serve you're appontent is going to hit. Then you just have to react to where they are going to serve it. If you jump to soon then you will end up flat footed which you never want.
