Still can't find a racket better than the k90

Who's with me? Nothing else has given me that soft, buttery feel you only get with the k90 and all its kevlar goodness.

Too bad I can't stop reading the racquets forum though. I'll probably have a new stick in a month.

Me + my friend. My friend sold his BLX 90 pair and I sold mine not long after. Going back to the older versions as the prices are more attractive with better feel (of course different people different take on the feel of different versions). But the execution of shots the K90 provides the most effective and satisfaction results that not many can acheive.

if you like something i would stick to it. i hated the blx 90, though i'm quickly finding out box beams aren't my thing. whatever works for ya, and stop posting in this section and visit the string section!

You should consider an obvious answer... you couldn't find a better that K90, because of many reason, the most important if the K90 perfectly match you.

I know many people still using "old" racquets.

The K90 is a very good frame. It will be hard to beat it. I personally think the PSL is a little better due to additional control, but I can see why you would have a hard time finding a better frame. I hope my PSLs last me for many more years. Even though I hit the ball pretty hard, I rarely have trouble with frames breaking so I think I should be good for a while. I think using a lower tension helps.

Aren't those the ones that are notorious for cracking the handles?

Good luck, and hope they last for you.

I like BLX90 more. K90's hoop is too stiff, it doesn't flex well for off centre shots, so BLX90 works better for my 1HBH, volleys, and spin serves. Also the "feel" people get from K90 is mostly shockwaves. It's pretty damn sweet when I go for a big forehand with K90, but I can definitely feel the shockwave being transferred to my arm. I've never have elbow trouble with PS85 and n90, but K90 hurt my elbow.

I don't get all the hate for BLX90, I think it takes the good aspects of n90 and k90 and combined into one. I think people need to give it a chance, I think you'll like it too.

That being said I think BLX is just wilson's tech for lowering the production costs of rackets as basalt+carbon hybrid are cheaper than pure carbon fibres. They simply modified the flex of k90 and turn it into blx90

I've never heard of anyone cracking a handle on these. The only problem I know of with them is the loose buttcap issue, but that is easily resolved.

I sure hope you didn't jinx my racquets. ;-)

I don't think you should worry, I usually only throw the whammy on myself.

Just made the switch from my Tour 90's to Youtek Prestige Mids. Glad I did, and I am never going to look back. :)
