String recomendations for control?

Just after some suggestions for strings that are good for control? I have recently bought a Babolat Pure Strike 18x20 and I love it. Its currently strung with the standard strings here in the UK which im pretty sure is 16g Babolat Xcel. Its actually a rather nice string! Feels like im hitting with cotton wool but ive got use to it. I have always been use to hitting with RPM blast in my previous Pure Drive racket but im a little concerned that if I string the PS with RPM it might become a little eratic? So any suggestions for a string with control is appreciated.

the Head RIP is very good control and feel, just lack of power. A nice balance is the Ashaway Crossfire. Very nice control and ball pocketing, lots of spin. Last about 8 hours for me if you are worried about durability...but they are cheap.

Control string usually means consistent low powered.
Might I suggest KirshbaumSpikeyShark 16 gauge. I use it at 38 lbs on a Bio300T, and it's really hard to hit too far out.

Also interested in what are some of the better control oriented (low powered) poly's that still are decent enough in durability, tension maintenance and spin.

TB vs KirshbaumSpikeyShark16, both in 1.30 gauge.
SolincoTourBite is resilient, has feel, can hit a big ball.
KSS is stiff/dead, good bite but little feel, needs a really fast strong long swing to hit a big ball.
On a power scale of 1-10, STBite16 might reside around 7, while KSS down at around 3.

Alu Power is the goat of all strings. I hit it in a pure strike and loved it. give that a shot

Since you like xcell, why not try a quality nat. gut and string it up on a rather high tension side in the 61-64 lb. range to give you more control.

I like Isospeed Black Fire very much on my Pacific X Force Pro 18x20. tons of control, no arm pain, durable, very happy with it. ( at 22 kg)

Might I suggest Tier One DuraFluxx in the same gauge and tension as the RPM that you like and adjust accordingly from there.

You will be trading marginally less spin for marginally more control. Decent mid to low power string. And about 1/2 the price of the RPM (if it is Blast that you like).

Love Alu power, savage is also pretty good but I've never experienced a string with more control than pro hurricane tour. Painful on your arm but is the most predictable thing ever. Pretty good spin too
