suggestion for hybrid

I like very much play synthetic gut strings. My preferred strings are Prince SG duraflex 16g, Wilson Extreme Gut 16g and Gosen Micro 16g.
I break strings in a few hours.
I have a old Prince SG duraflex 15Lg (1.35mm) reel.
I'm thinking to try a hybrid: Prince SG duraflex 15Lg on mains and Gosen Micro 16g on crosses.
Do is a good idea?

Agree - the beauty of hybrids is not having to adhere to an established standard of any sort; there are no rules. If you try it and you like it, that's all that matters.
