hi..i've notice that the ROK taylor dent is not the 93...i counted the string pattern and it was 16x19...wut is he using ?....is it a 93 ROK, 102 ROK or is it even a HPS 6.1 with a ROK paintjob ?...and if its the 93 rok...i'm surprise he can serve with such a dense pattern !

Serving with such a dense pattern isn't that unheard of. Goran could do it, and damn well if you can remember. Flipper can definetely serve the bombs, and so can Safin, so string pattern doesn't really make much of a difference in terms of serving. . . especially when you have the proper technique of a tier 1 pro. From what i remember from seeing during the US Open, the head of the frame actually resembled a less extreme isometric head of a Yonex telling me that it's the 93 sq inch Rok instead of the 102 which had more of a fat tear drop shape that Cecil Mamiit plays with if you saw him during the Aussie Open when he played Hewitt. I can be wrong though.

I don't think Dent uses a ROK at all. I saw him at the Siebel and the head of his racquet was a standard oval and not the elongated head of the ROK. Maybe it's a paintjob of his old Volkl Tour 8 or a Wilson Tour 90 or Tour 95? Or perhaps a completely customized racquet like many pros have?

I can't find it now, but I recently saw a close up picture of Dent and his racquet. I counted 16 mains. Definitely not an off the shelf ROK. While looking for this picture, I saw some older ones of him swinging a Volkl and what looked like a Pro Staff 6.0.

So this is an old thread I stumbled across and wanted to comment on. I just played a pro-am with Taylor yesterday and was chatting with him during and after. Even hit a few balls with his stick. Currently looks like a BLX blade. I asked if he had a custom string pattern in it and he told me that it is not actually a wilson but his old Volkl tour 8 custom weighted. I am not sure of the exact weight but my Prestige 238.2's that I am using weigh in at 365g strung and his stick felt heavier than that. How solid it was when hitting was simply crazy!!

even when Dent used a Tour 8 he didn't use a Tour 8. It was the C-9 albeit much heavier.
