Tecnifibre Similar to Babolat?

I need an alternative replacement for my old Babolat PDR+, and I'm considering one of the Tecnifibre sticks, but don't know which one plays similar to the Pure Drive series (or preferably the PDR+). My choices are either the TFlash 310 (16 or 18 mains), TFight 320 XL (18 mains), or TFight 335 (16 or 18 mains).

The 320 XL looks great for me, especially since it's extended length, but the thin (thinner than the PDs, at least) beam and tighter string pattern doesn't really appeal to me, yet I may still consider it. I won't disclose my playing style; I'm just looking for something that's as similar to the PDR+ as possible, preferably in the power section.

Anybody try any (or all) of these sticks, and can help me with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. =)

nah the ease of access to power would be vastly lower than that of the pdr

I cannot speak for any of the pre-VO2 TFights, but I own several of the 320 VO2 and love them. I don't know what your looking for when compared to the PDR+ but I would not really consider them simlilar. It's hard to explain, but the TF just feels alot more "solid" that the PDR, but Babolat's feel weird to me anyway. The amount of power the racquet produces itself is also pretty good, but definitely not close to your PDR.

I split my time between doubles and singles, and the TF has been a good stick for both. It's got a bit more heft than the PDR so it was more stable, but it's still very maneuverable at the same time.

TF are great racquets (I won't be changing any time soon), but you say your looking for something similar to your PDR so I would definitely suggest demoing before a blind purchase

Thanks for your input! I guess I may have to demo it, to compare and see for myself. I'm really tempted to try them though, since Babs are so expensive, and the Tecnifibres are selling for less than half of one of those, new.

If you can get one of the pre-VO2 Max sticks in a weight/pattern you like, then jump on it. I have played all of the new ones and none of the direct-replacements play as well as their counterparts in the previous line. There is no replacement for the TFlash 310 which is most comparable to the PDR. Good luck finding one, although there are very few 18x20 strays. The 16x19 is unobtainium new, but used single sticks come up from time to time.

I think I just happen to be in luck, because the place I'm looking at has the TFlash 310, in both 16 AND 18 mains, new! They do appear similar to the Pure Drive series (at least in specs), so I may add those to my list.

Ah, if only they came in extended length, it'd be perfect... xD

Good luck for you, man. I have 9 16x19 310's (3 currently in rotation) and always keep my eyes open for these. TF USA has none, so this is a good catch on your part.

Wow, you have NINE of them? =O That's freakin' cool!

Would you mind giving me a short summary of it, or similarities and differences between the TFlash and Pure Drives?

Well, the racquet really suits me and I knew they would not be making any more of this one. I have many racquets, and play most of them, but this is my regular stick so I figured why not stock up in 1/4 & 3/8.
