Quick discussion, curious as to how people setup their bags

- How many of the same racquet do you carry in your bag
- Do you carry more then 1 type of racquet in your bag? (IE 3x pure strikes and 1 pro staff)
- What's your favourite overgrip
- Do you carry more then 1 pair of shoes?
- Do you have multiple frames with different string tensions ? Or different frames with different strings?

And also what are your frames of choice and how many do you have. I play with 5 of the same frame and sometimes I feel that it's too many

5 racquets: 2 Phantom 93P, 1 Phantom 100 18x20, 1 Phantom 100 ported, 1 POG 107

Fav overgrip is Wilson comfort

I have clay shoes and hard court shoes

I have gut/poly in all my frames but the Phantom 100 which has multis (it's my sore arm day racquet). Tensions match the racquet frames power.

- How many of the same racquet do you carry in your bag - Mainly used a backpack because I commute and play after work. Carry 2 of the same usually and one alternate.

- Do you carry more then 1 type of racquet in your bag? - Will be 2 Angells soon and 1 Pro Tour 280 (or Wilson Clash depending on the day)

- What's your favourite overgrip - Wilson Pro Overgrip Sensation (25% thinner version)

- Do you carry more then 1 pair of shoes? - Nope. Just a pair of Nike Vapors!

- Do you have multiple frames with different string tensions ? Or different frames with different strings? - Same tensions. If anything, I go up a pound here and there on different sticks.

I only carry different tensions if I'm unsure of climate/altitude. Most of the time, they're all the same.

And also what are your frames of choice and how many do you have. I play with 5 of the same frame and sometimes I feel that it's too many:

I previously had 7 of the same. Currently I have 3.

cool, pretty interesting. Do you guys ever think there is such thing as too many frames in your bag? Also how often do you guys switch racquets? Have sadly gone through like 4 different racquet changed in like 7 months but I think i've found a set im happy with

Quick discussion, curious as to how people setup their bags

- How many of the same racquet do you carry in your bag
  • I carry 4 of the same (Yonex EZONE Dr98) and then if I have room I have one PS90 and RF97 just for sh!ts and giggles.
- Do you carry more then 1 type of racquet in your bag? (IE 3x pure strikes and 1 pro staff)
  • See above
- What's your favourite overgrip
  • Love Yonex Supergrap -- won't stray away from that even though I do have a few rolls of the Wilson Camo overgrips just because they look so good.
- Do you carry more then 1 pair of shoes?
  • I'll typically carry one pair of clay and one pair of hard court shoes.
- Do you have multiple frames with different string tensions ? Or different frames with different strings?
  • Since it's summer in the ******* and the weather is ever changing I usually run with 2 frames with same tension and string and the other two with same string and different tensions. However, I am experimenting with some different string combos (Shaped/Rough poly mains, Slippery/Smooth poly crosses) so currently I have 2 frames with same exact string setup and the other 2 with different hybrid set ups to use during practice sets.
And also what are your frames of choice and how many do you have. I play with 5 of the same frame and sometimes I feel that it's too many
  • As stated above, I have been using the DR98's for a solid year and a half now and there is no signs of turning back to any other frame. Honestly, I am hoping to end up with 6 of the same rackets despite not being a big string breaker -- but it's nice to have flexibility in your string set ups too. Plus the DR's are discontinued.

Some other stuff that I have in my bag -- granted I have a 9 pack blue Yonex bag so that will give you an idea on how much stuff it can hold along with the 4-6 rackets.
  • Extra pair of shoes
  • Extra pair of clothes (shirt/shorts/underwear/compression shorts/socks/headbands/hat/towels/wristbands)
  • Medical Supplies such as
    • Basic first-aid kit (band-aids, ointments, gauze, etc)
    • ACE Bandage
    • Sunscreen
    • Overgrips
    • Couple cans of tennis balls
    • IcyHot or Biofreeze Ointment
    • Spray Deodorant

- How many of the same racquet do you carry in your bag.
I carry a total of 4 racquets in my bag, 2 and 2

- Do you carry more then 1 type of racquet in your bag? (IE 3x pure strikes and 1 pro staff)
I carry 2 Angell TC97's and 2 Angell TC100's

- What's your favourite overgrip
Wilson Pro Overgrip/White

- Do you carry more then 1 pair of shoes?
Not all the time, but now that the heat has turned up, I will start carrying an extra pair. Always have flip flops in the bag

- Do you have multiple frames with different string tensions ? Or different frames with different strings?
They all have gut mains, my TC100's have Solinco Outlast crosses. My TC97's, one has Lux Alu Power Soft cross, the other has Solinco Revolution cross. Testing cross strings in that frame currently. The tension for the TC97 is slightly lower.

And also what are your frames of choice and how many do you have. I play with 5 of the same frame and sometimes I feel that it's too many
I'm good with the 4 frames I have, 2 TC97's and 2 TC100's. I played a 3 hour match a few nights ago. I played the first 2 sets with the TC97, played the 3rd set with the TC100, I had to bring out the hammer to win the match, ;). The TC97 is my main stick but I will bring the TC100 out for a change a pace and show my opponent a heavier harder hit ball.

I have a Wilson six-pack bag. In one compartment go two or three of my Prestiges (set of four matched). I have two cut FedEx shipping bags cut to the size of a tennis racquet so the racquets don't bang against each other.

In the other compartment, I have a can or two of balls and I store my drinks in them unless I'm carrying my gym bag too. I may carry a power bar as well if I need food on the court.
