Tennis Video Games?

What's the best Tennis games out there right now?

I've played Virtua Tennis 2009 (PC), Smash Court Tennis 3 (PSP), Top Spin 2 (PC) last year. My favorite is, surprisingly, Smash Court Tennis 3 on the PSP because it seems to play more realistic.

Recently, I tried Tennis Elbow 2009 (PC). I kind of am liking the basic game play and controls even with the sub-par graphics.

Anyone tried it?

So far, they're all terrible. IMO, Grand Slam Tennis for Wii is the worst because it claims to mimic tennis strokes, but it really really doesn't...

I just got done playing Super Tennis on my SNES emulator. Still holds up to the test of time if you have a good controller (I use my Xbox one).

I remember playing Super Tennis on the SNES! Sweet memories.

Regarding Grand Slam Tennis - yeah, there are too many horrible tennis games to list.

I really like Tennis Elbow! Especially the 'Manager' version.

actually they have a gadget that connect's to the controller that has sensors so it will have movements that are closer to what your doing.

I played a few (VT3&2009, Grandslam Tennis, TopSpin 2&3).

IMO Top Spin 3 is the best for online-play. Sure the animations of the groundstrokes aren't as good as they could be, and at the beginning the controlls feel strange and complicated, but after a while you can play some great points, and unlike Virtua Tennis it doesn't feel like a table tennis game.

I play top spin 3 because its the most realistic even though its impossible to lose a match now. Online, its a bit weird, some people create characters with fake stats and pretty much cheat.

Like ive played many people who created the tallest, fattest player with maxed out forehands and power, good speed, return, and serve.

I can rarely find people to play online with on TS3 on my ps3 anymore :evil:

Hot Shots Tennis PS2 = best

Virtua tennis 1 on ps2 was pretty good. You could actually miss the court with your shots and it was more realistic than the sequels. And it had players like Rafter, Norman, Pioline and Kafelnikov

Smash court tennis 1 on ps2 was pretty good too. It had Sampras and Agassi

The only one I like is Wii Tennis, it actually gets you involved in the game even though its unrealistic
