Textured+Thin?

Are there any strings that are both textured and thin? I like textured for spin, and 18 guagues for the control. I guess I could do a hybrid but I'm not sure if it would help. Right now I am playing with Luxilon Ace 18's at 62.

Thanks

"u would get stupid spin with a multi/textured in 18..."
Hybrid or as one string?
Your post is a tad confusing.

I'm scared of kevlar because of the stiffness. Did a little research, the thinnest textured was Kirschbaum Super Spiky 17, but it the reviews were quite sub-par. Any experience with this string?

The texturing is of no importance. The point is friction which many multis especially after broke in have a lot of friction do to true texture.

IE x-one has a rough texture perpendicular to the string, you can feel it with your finger, same for NXT and further more over the outer core of NXT crackles at the string points leaving jaged edges, no other string has more texture than that.

Anything else is just plain moronic, you want some thing that will actually grab onto the felt of the ball, no pretend indents on some string.

A related question:
When you have a string with an outer wrap for spin like Ruff, is the gauge the core string diameter or the core + wrap?

Also, a question for Marcus Alsager;
Which is more spin-
Wicked spin? ____
Stupid spin? ____
Sick spin? ____

Hummm, now that I think about it, isn't the Babolat Hurricane a texturized string and isn't it available in gauge 18? In know it's not a syn gut, but the OP didn't say it had to be one.

Pro Hurricane comes from gauges 15L to 18, is perfectly smooth, polyester, monofilament. Comes in blue for Hybrid applications.
