Solinco Revolution and Outlast - Are they Textured?

Thinking of trying one of these two Solinco strings as a cross with natural gut in a hybrid. I do not want a textured (or non-round) poly as a cross with the natural gut mains.

Can anyone tell me the Revolution or Outlast are textured strings or if they are round?

Neither one shows up when I goto the string finder and search for textured strings and it doesn't say anything about either one being textured on the Solinco websit, but in reading some comments made on the boards I found this: "Well in comparing the feel of the string (Tour Bite to Revolution) its seems as though tour bite may be a little more roughly textured...funny thing is that although revolution is textured almost identical..."

This post seems to indicate that the Revolution is a textured string.

Thanks for any clarification.

In the following post, the poster states that revolution and tour bite are shaped but outlast is circular

In another post further down the same thread by the same person, a rep confirmed with him the revolution is less textured than tour bite. Nothing mentioned about the texture of outlast though.

ETA: Another guy in the same thread commented that outlast doesn't cut into his multi as much. Maybe that means it's not textured?

Maybe wait for some first hand experience from other people here.

both the tour bite and revolution are shaped (non-circular) polys while the outlast is circular and non-shaped. so yeah, it seems like the outlast is what you are looking for.
