The need for command

Does LGQ7 realize he's either autism spectrum disorder or a high functioning psychopath? Logic dictates that a human without empathy likely has one of these two disorders.

He is highly intelligent. And like the famous saying goes “If you live by the blade 3, you’ll get Sniped.

In all seriousness, I’m not even sure there were 3 people involved in this incident. Mental health is not a joke. Please call your states mental health hotline immediately. It’s the weekend so you’ll get the automatic attendant. If schizophrenic, listen closely and a small voice will tell you what option to push.

. . . human without empathy . . .

You think your words are objective, but they are not. In Singapore, you if you deal drugs, they're going to "hang 'em high". Other countries would say they have no empathy. Empathy for who? Empathy for the drug dealers? Or empathy for society?

You should be a scriptwriter. The post looked pretty nice and similar to a movie script. Bit of drama, emotion, profanity, and it was great to read...at least for me :)

However, I have one question. Is there anything you're trying to attain from posting this? Or is it just a recap that you thought would be decent to share with the forum? I don't mean any ill will but it just came across my mind.

As a follow up question, would you agree or disagree with this statement:

I don't usually appreciate the other person's viewpoint if I don't agree with it.

I have to admit, it is quite dramatic. More exiting because this is real life. You don't know how it will turn out. You can only guess.

I erased the guy from my list of people to call. I kicked him out of my Meetup group. I am the guy that calls everybody. I am the hub of the wheel. I am the King in Chinese Chess (and western chess). He does not know there is a whole world of difference between the hub and spokes.

In my group of tennis friends, everyone gives and receives calls to hit, except the person everyone detests. This one person lives under the illusion that their calls to hit are the only calls, and this person sure does remind me of someone...

Empathy simply means being able to understand and relate to the feelings of others. Most of your posts clearly lack this consideration, demanding that all behavior follow rational and logical rules.

While certainly I wish humans were more rational and less emotional at times, it is aberrant to not at least occasionally take feelings into consideration when describing your interactions with fellow humans.

It does as you said raise the question of why you didn't break off contact with him previously.

Good question and good observation. Previously I "run" a little group at my apartment complex, the group is about 10. Now I run a Meetup group with 100 + and growing. The value of the people who **** me off has diminished by 10 fold, mathematically.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. People who lack intelligence and seriousness. Your next question is "Why are you so serious?", and I'll copy Blade 3 and say, "Because the world is serious."
you're one of those guys obsessed with martial arts movies, try to imitate them, etc... live your life by their "code"
but are too much of a pansy to actually train, because you're afraid to get punched in the face.

There are these things on the internet called "trolls" and they like to post nonsense or adopt a gimmick in order to get a rise out of people. It's pretty hilarious when people fall for it

Observant and correct.

I'm trying to be martial in The Mirror Universe (Star Trek). Believe me, my tennis club is very martial, even for my taste. But that's the way it has to be. For yous who are not X-men, I'll explain it to your level of intelligence. Imagine 2 Universes. In one universe, Patrick Swayze stars in Dirty Dancing. In the mirror Universe, Patrick Swayze stars in Road House. But there's no Universe where he stars in both. I want to create a Mirror Universe to my liking.

@LGQ7 You would benefit from reading a general, yet thorough research style book on personalities and individual differences. It might help you understand yourself better. It might help you understand others better. It might help you understand yourself in relation to others better:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1593856474/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_20?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I do own this book and have read it in addition to other books on the topic. It's quite helpful for assessing people and your interactions with them.

But remember, the first step is to honestly assess yourself. Only then can you move on to thinking about others.

If you just want a quick "taste" of what the above book has to offer, you could just listen to these lectures. It follows the book fairly closely in some ways. But it only spends a few minutes on each topic. It's a nice introduction. If you like what it offers, then get the book for a more complete understanding (and if you really get into this stuff, there is a large collection of research on each topic):

Thank you. I will track it down and read it. I too am interested in Psychology - Cognitive. It's what I wanted to study in college but it does not exist, even now. I am wary of academics who do not have real life experiences. I have seen Language academics who wrote books and papers, yet cannot speak 2 languages. I wish I could be re-born with all my knowledge in tact. I wish I was brought up in a ballet school so I can understand people, up close and personal.

I have a suggestion for you. Running a tennis club, a wrestling promotion, anything is the same. It requires understanding of people and how to utilize them based on their strengths and hiding their weakness. You should buy books by Jim Cornette, and look him up on YouTube (I should too). Everything he says is Biblical, Biblical. And he has real life experience dealing with all kinds of people. I try to imitate wrestling as much as I can. For example, I have doubles tennis for to top 1⁄3 percentile of the Elo rating. I say, "You must make the grade . . . to participate." I say, "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense." in real life. Jim Cornette is the man, with a lot of life experience in dealing with people.

Can summarize / generalize what it is he teaches and what it is you like about him?

Do you like the content of his message? His presentation style? Are you simply interested in the same things he is (does he reinforce your beliefs, or does he expand your beliefs? Get you to think about different things, or think about things in different ways? Or does he just seem to agree with you, so you like that?)?

Do you have any examples of something you have learned from him that you have applied (you give a general example above with respect to your tennis group). Anything else that might give me an idea why you like him / his message?

This whole thread should be moved to the "ODDS & ENDS" Forum, not a word of it has anything to do with tennis.
If I wanted to hear your opinion, I'd allow you to present in, but only to answer questions that I asked you.

But as things stand, I didn't ask for your opinion, so you need to keep quiet until I do.

2. I am not a stupid person.

Do not assume that I am a stupid person. Assume that I am a superior man.

"I like him because he agrees with me". That is a stupid statement.

I like him because I can learn from him. There is no way, no way, no way, anyone can compare to him. The amount of experience he has dealing with people, up close and very personal is peerless.

Just look at the sample above. He tells the truth. Everything he says is the truth, that's why I like him. And his knowledge is vast from a lifetime of experience.

That's fine, but I was asking for an analysis of his arguments.

It is not an analysis of his arguments. He tells of what he knows, he tells the truth about people and things as he knows them. It is not arguments like some IF THEN computer language.

Hallelujah! You've got it! As I said, "Everything he says is Biblical". In my mind I already said to myself "He should call his books, the Gospel according to Jim Cornette."

That sounds reasonable

Can I ask you why you decided to let me lead this conversation? Why you decided to answer my questions? From what I can tell, you typically like to be in control.

You led me. You tell me about a book to from an academic in Psychology and Neuroscience. I tell you a about a person with real life experience in dealing with all kinds of people and he tells the truth about what he knows.

Why you decided to answer my questions? From what I can tell, you typically like to be in control.

If the question is legitimate, I will answer.

Thanks for recommending Jim Cornette. I'll have to check out some of his stuff.

Some thing are beyond your intelligence.

Here's a person with intelligence. We should absolutely divide the world into humans and X-Men or as Magneto calls it Homo_Superior.
