Well, as a huge Eagles fan, I think that their win over the Giants calls for this thread. All Eagles fans are welcome!! As for the Giants/Redskins/Cowboys fans . . . (I don't want to get banned:twisted:) All things Eagles should be discussed hear.

EDIT: PLEASE DONT COME HERE TO BASH THE EAGLES, THIS DOES HAPPEN TO BE AN EAGLES FAN THREAD. IF YOU'RE NOT A FAN OF THE EAGLES, THERE'S NOTHING STOPPING YOU FROM POSTING, BUT TRY NOT TO BASH THEM BECAUSE ALL IT WILL DO IS START ARGUEMENTS WITH EAGLES FANS.

Wow. This was a great performance from Brian Westbrook. He's been terrible the last couple games (excluding last game against the Cardinals) and it's nice to see him at the top of his game again. At this rate, he should run all over Clevend and Washington. Dallas will be a challenge though.

yeah, there tie with the bengals is gonna make it tough for them to make the playoffs. Looks like they're gonna have to win out with some help from the Falcons. It just stinks at how many close games they've lost this year. Without, the loss at Baltimore, the havent lost by more than eight points the whole year.

Andy and Donovan are to blame for the Bengals debacle. Until the last couple of games, Andy has done a poor job coaching this year.

mcnabb annoys the heck out of me. he's always grimmacing like he's tired or hurting. what a wuss.

i actually was an eagles fan but mcnabb is just terrible. and TO was right, it was mcnabb's fault that they lost the superbowl. TO was fine, broken finger and all.

I don't disagree with what you said about McNabb. But I don't believe anything TO says. Everything that comes out of his mouth is just nonsense.

Actually, as much of an idiot as Terrell Owens can be, he WAS telling the truth. McNabb choked in that game. McNabb has choked in at least five playoff games in his career.

1) Giants' NFC semis loss in '01 The Eagles scored three points. Donovan stunk

2) '02 loss to the Rams in NFC Championship game. Donovan did not play well in the second half and with a chance to win the game at the end, he throws the terrible interception to Aneus Williams

3) NFC championship game at home against the Bucs in '03. Eagles had the lead (not due to Donovan) and had everything going for them. Donovan got tight, made nothing happen, was off on his passes, took some bad sacks and the Eagles choked.

4) Prior to getting injured in the 3rd quarter, Donovan choked against the Panthers at home in the '04 NFC Championship game. He helped produce 3 points in 2 1/2 quarters and the Eagles lost yet again in the conference final

5) SuperBowl in '05. T.O. was right. Donovan couldn't handle the pressure and got tired, wasted clock, threw up due to hyperventilating and cost the Eagles the SuperBowl. There have been other games he choked as well.

nice post coria. mcnabb has cost philly numerous times. the big question is... who thinks he'll still be here next year. i have a feeling he may not be but kolb hasnt look good either...

Ordinarilly, I'd say that maybe all this Eagles bashing was uncalled for in an Eagles Fan thread, but then again, the OP did write that "all things Eagles should be discussed here"...

Eagles fan over here too. Good performance from McNabb and Westbrook. Hope they can keep it up, for the next couple of weeks

Props to the Birds. Brian Westbrook proved that when healthy, he's on a par with anyone in the league as far as being the "do it all" complete package. HE's what makes Philly's offense go and him leaving NYG LB Antonio "I had nuthin' to do wit' it" Pierce in the dust underscored that as well as sealing the deal for Philly.

But after the game, McNabb (who played a good game) really put his foot in his mouth by saying that they (the Eagles) should've won the first meeting between the two teams. What a crock of ....well, what a crock. The Giants totally dominated in terms of yards, plays, time of possession and repeatedly shot themselves in the foot to keep the score closer than the game really was. Philly to their credit turned turnovers (one a very fluky one in the beginning of the game) into touchdowns, while the G-men settled for field goals. But to say "should've won the 1st game" was, imho, a stretch by McNabb.

But again, props to the Eagles for coming back from the dead in the NFC East.

Yeah the Eagles had a chance to win the first game, but they definiteldy didnt "should" have won it, the Giants dominated evrything but the scoreboard. Heck, the Eagles could have won every game this year except Baltimore. But yeah, that was a hell of a performance by Westbrook. And actually, Pierce didn't have a bad game, 15 tackles. And I mean really, Westbrook would have scored on any linebacker on that passing touchdown, the whole right side of the field was empty.

I think Mcnabb will stay if Eagles make playoffs, if not, it's 50/50
Games relevent to eaglesl in Week 15

New Orleans beats Chicago
Washington beats Cinci
Tampa beats Atlanta
Minnesota beats Arizona
Giants beat Cowboys
Eagles beat Browns
Carolina beats Denver

If all this happens, the playoff picture will look like this.
Division Leaders
Giants-12-2
Cardinals-8-6
Minnesota-9-5
Carolina- 11-3

Wild Cards
Tampa Bay - 10-4
Eagles- 8-5-1

In the Hunt
Cowboys:8-6
Redskins:8-6
Falcons- 8-6
Saints- 8-6
Chicago- 7-7

Tell me if I'm wrong, but that would be awsum that the Eagles might jump ahead of all those teams in one week. its not an unreasonable scenario either. not all of those things have to happen for the eagles to jump to the wild card spot.

Not at all.......crickets....................rotfl.

But look at the "good news" possibilities in your previous post about the Eagles potentially jumping over all those other "8-6" teams. I guess Donavan "8-5-1 McNabb knew what he was doing all along.

As for the Eagles themselves, didn't they use to play at Franklin Field (Univ. of Penn)? I competed at the Penn Relays in that stadium, does that count?

definitely. the whole offense relies on westbrook. he's one of the best backs in the league. mcnabb is replacable.

McNabb is not even one of the top 12 QB's in the league anymore. If Westbrook isn't going crazy, the Eagles will go down if they rely too much on Donovan. Their "O" line and Westbrook need to be at their best for Donovan to look good.

Yea, what's annoying about Mcnabb is his inconsistency. It kills me to know that he can play every game like he did vs. the cowboys, the cardinals, the seahawks.but then you watch him play like he did vs. the bengals and the ravens. its frustrating. i think they should have a gameplan like they did against the giants every game. have mcnabb throw the intermediate routes. westbrook pounding the ball every play.

btw: dont you think andy reid is under utilizing lorenzo booker??

I still have some Christmas "shopping" to do but I didn't really see anything I liked on the Eagles' on-line shop.

Is Andy Reid's son still living at home?

McNabb has a tough year until now that's 4 sure!
Anyway the eagles shuld have at least 2 more wins considering the first couple of games!

Isn't this a NO DUH for all QBs? You need the offensive line to give him time and a good running game to draw in the LB and the safety.

What I'm saying is that when McNabb has to pass too much, he ends up hurting a team more than helping. He'll throw stupid picks, he'll be ridiculously inaccurate at times and he'll hold on to the ball too long.

Donovan has been a good QB, at times because of his athleticsm, he's been very good. But, he's not consistent and far from great. He's too often not accurate. He has also choked too many times. What I'm saying is that if the Eagles aren't running the ball very well, Donovan is not good enough or consistent enough to make great passing plays and bail his team out.

Mm yeah, well said. He does tend to get streaky. He'll throw 300+ yards and multiple TDs one game then less than 200 yards and a couple picks the next game.

damn!!! the falcons winning kinda screwed th Eagles. they have to win out and the falcons or tampa need to lose one of their games. i would definetly like to see lorenzo booker in the game more, i think he is a very dangerous as a running back splitting out as a receiver and things like that

As a Cowboys fan, I must consider it a blessing from God that an Eagles fan spelled Philadelphia incorrectly, particularly in the title of the team's 'official thread'.

The rest of us are trying to overlook that rather painful statement. I'm just assuming the OP is, you know, rather young? Not that that is an excuse...but it is better than being a Cowboy's fan!!!

Now I know what to get Stormy for Christmas!

Rather young? If you can use a computer you should be able to spell the town in which you live, especially if you fancy making fun of opposing teams. The OP has lost (did he ever have?) that license.

Philedelphia? Ha! I can't stand Eagles fans...

Oh wait, no, you can't be perfect...not if you're a Cowboy's fan! :)

PS...please let me know where to send your Christmas gift!!!

particularly good fun if you are a Cowboys fan who likes to make fun of Eagles fans.

cuhmon man, you dont even have a reason to root for the cowboys if you live in italy!! the cowboys are a better soap opera than they are a football team! You'll see on week 17.

With the clobbering the EAgles are putting on the Browns, their playoff chances are looking decent. They need to win out plus 1 loss from the Falcons or the Bucs. That will probably have to come in week 16 because the Bucs are facing the Chargers and Falcons are facing the Vikings (might be other way around? lol) Because in week 17 its Bucs. vs. Raiders and Falcons vs. Rams (again, might be other way around) if the bucs or falcons lose ,it could end up being an epic showdown for the last wild card spot with eagles vs. cowboys in the last game of the regular season
