Ncode was best

ps85 and pst90 are the most classic and best models to pickup if your a collector or want to experience a more classic hitting experience. Sampras/Federer ps85 players and FedEx 1st slam with t90. Roger beating Pete beat at Wimbledon 2001 with the ps85 and playing the same agressive AC SV game was the start of FedEx IMO.

Roger never used the retail version of the NCode. It wasn't until the KFactor model that the string pattern/spacing in the retail model matched what he was using in tournaments.

i think, paintjobs notwithstanding, the most accurate description of fed's progression was 85-90-97.

My understanding is that after the PS85, Roger switched to the 90, first under the Tour 90 paintjob, then the Ncode 90 paintjob, then the K90 paintjob, and so forth. The 90 sq in racquet Roger used under all those paintjobs was likely the same racquet. But we know that the retail version of the Tour 90 and Ncode 90 was not Roger's racquet bc the string spacing was visibly different from what Roger was seen using in match play. When the retail K90 came out, the string spacing had changed to look exactly like what Roger was using.

The Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 95 was 22mm. The Hyper Pro Staff 6.0 95 Tour which was the same mold as the Pro Staff 6.0 95 was 20mm

Federer did not play with the hyper pro staff 95. It was an 85 painted like the 95 and had a thinner beam. The guy was listing rackets Federer played with. The hyper pro staff 95 (I had several of them) did have a thicker beam. Federer never played with a 95. There is one on the bay for sale now.

That's pretty cool to see he was co-designing racquets back then and not just recently with the RF97. Kinda wanna see the other 42 designs and 15 prototypes, but I trust Roger has good tastes.
