The Swiss master plan to shock the French in DC final

What if this whole "Federer Wawrinka spat", "Federer back injury" etc. has been cleverly planted just to fool the French team?

Federer already knew that his chance for YEN1 was gone when Djokovic reached the final, and there was no point playing the match when he knew that Djokovic was in fiery form and hungry for the Shanghai revenge.
Fed has already won 6 WTFs, so he probably wants the Davis Cup more at this stage of his career.

His next possible encounter with Djokovic can only be the AO final, and he wants to take the mental advantage of having crushed Novak in their last encounter, into a possible AO final showdown.

Both Stan and Federer go into the DC with high confidence, as Stan played a good last match (even though he choked), and Roger is going into DC being undefeated at WTF (he would have most probably lost, had he played Djoker in the final)
Now this spat between Stan and Roger could have very well been orchestrated to fool the French team into a false sense of confidence and security.
They, and the whole Tennis world is thinking how things are between the Swiss duo and if Fed will even be able to play.
This is exactly what the Swiss team wants. They'll be uber ready and surprise the French and win the DC playing crushing tennis.

What say TTW experts? :D

P.S. No hating on the OP.

You are clueless or you are trolling ?

Fed is one of the world's best at PR and he has to do some serious damage control for the events last Saturday . I suppose you dont understand how things work.

That is NOT true. just made up fantasy of yours. Roger has been suffering from back problems for years now. and been ok for almost a year but now he played too much tennis and now it has come back. and it might cost him the ONLY davis cup chance he will have.

but then you get old, it is natural. and you can't have it all even if you as good as federer

I somehow wish that whole story was true - but I don't think anyone would act like this "just" to win the DC. Federer and Wawrinka are both good enough to win without this. Federer doesn't leave out chances to win anything and at least gives a try if he can.

No, what's going to happen Friday is Mirka will play instead of Roger against Monfils. Monfils will turn into Clownfils as the shock overwhelms him and he can't hit a single ball over the net. Then Stan/Marco team up for the clinching doubles on Saturday. Roger wins the DC and never needs to play.

I disagree. He's built up so much goodwill over the last decade he's able to fly through instances like that pretty much unscathed - and given the benefit of the doubt moreso than any of his peers.

I suppose you dont understand how things work.
As it turns out, it's you who doesn't.

How is that possible? His style is not taxing on the body and thus, according to said brilliant logic, should not be suffering with injury.

No, she will beat him fair and square. No clowning required.

notice the absence of mirka over the dc final weekend ? :)

roger put his foot down and told 'yoko ohno mirka' to stay away, the lads discussed things and sorted stuff out..then did the bizz oncourt.

So using the esteemed OP's logic, Nadal's several month layoffs are to shock the entire tour and fool Nole, so he can keep winning the French Open every year, and then again take a one year injury break.

Excellent.

This is the difference between professional players and forum posters. They had an argument for few minutes, So what? Does not that happen between friends/family members? The most important thing is that, as you say, they sorted things out and started focusing on the DC final. They are way smarter and rational than many people here.

Fed couldn't have done it without and Stand couldn't have done it without Fed. Both know that. Here is what Fed said right after beating Gasquet:
“Everybody worked incredibly hard to get me match ready and Stan has put in so much effort over the years and played an unbelievable weekend. That’s what gave me the opportunity today. I’m very much aware of that.”

The plan was #2 & #4 will defeat an army of lessers.
Just keep your stars healthy.

I would have hired a Mirka look-a-like and sat her in the front row to call out crybaby at key moments.

The guy doesn't need to be in the off-season to make speculative agenda-laced posts about Federer. His whole post history is centered around the Federer-Nadal debate.
