The Volkl C 10 is evolving!

G.O.A.T.
Just thought I'd post my thoughts about this. TW has just released the 2019 version of this frame and looks like they have decided to measure the specs and it's come in a little heavier with a higher SW ( 330 v 323) and a 64 RA.
I have quite a few older versions and I noticed a difference even with the 2018 version even though it's listed specs didn't reflect this, so I thought it might have been manufacturing tolerance differences over many years or my individual frames, rather than an active change in specs. The C10 now feels less manuverable, more clunky and less precise and smooth than before whereas my all yellow version with the black stripes were quite light to swing, even with a 360g static weight via a leather grip and overgrip.
The new model has quietly been released with not much talk about the frame as many may have dismissed this as just another cosmetic make over , but I think it's different along with the previous 2018 version.
Any thougths about the new frame or the C10 in general and where this frame sits in the marketplace. I know they haven't been selling this model in Australia for a while so local buyers have had to get the V Sense 10 and V Feel 10 if they wanted a Volkl 10 series probably because of limited demand here.

This guy I play with sometimes uses a c10 and he really thumps the ball! Not sure which version, but color is yellow and black.

Never used it personally. Demoed a 320 v10 and it wasn't bad but nothing special.

Volkl headsizes do seem to run a bit small.

I agree that the newer C10 Pros do not feel the same to me as older versions. A while back I had pair of 2008 C10's, mostly black cosmetic with yellow accents. They were heavy, but headlight, flexy and smooth. I tried a 2018 model and didn't like it. Of course I fully admit that also could be me being 10 years older and less flexy myself :)

I noticed this as well... I like the design... I have the previous versions, which I very much like (one of my favorite racquets). I haven't tried the 2018 version, but from what you are saying it doesn't sound as good. I will wait for others to report their findings and go from there. The design looks very nice though. I too am in the land of Oz and have been guarding my collection (my preciouses... :giggle:) for the very reason that they don't sell them here.
