Thiem using full poly

So now he is grown up ;)
I myself didnt like the rough version too much.
Its even a lot more expensive than Luxilon alu, but it feels like a rough version of the too soft Wilson revolve string.
I m not into the super high tensions, maybe then it would be better but still over priced :(

Thiem gets it for free. I wonder why he went away from natural gut / rpm blast rough hybrid ? too much power with natural gut ?

So here is the enlightening information for you. Full bed RPM blast gives you almost as much power as hybrid setup. I know it is odd but RPM blast full bed is very powerful setup. difference is full bed gives you insane more spin than hybrid. So there is no reason for hybrid setup if your arm is healthy and not in pain.
Plus all this, RPM blast rough is softer so there really is no reason why Thiem should use hybrid. only thing that Gut hybrid gives you is feel. Way Thiem plays, I don't think he cares much for feel.

Must have an arm of steel. Pure strike and RPM @27Kg
If you can afford to restring the full bed RPM after about 2 hours of play, it isn't bad. Up to about 2 hours, RPM is fresh and at that point it gives you a lot of pop and vibrations isn't horrible. But after that RPM starts to go dead, when this happens, it is bad news for your arm. but just Cut it out after 2 hours everytime and put new string in there, you are fine

I know what you mean. Guys like RAFA gets this RPM blast for free so he can just cut it out after every hitting session. I heard he has like 6-8 rackets and he strings them fresh every time he plays, even the rackets that he hasn't hit with yet.......LOL

Those guys also have people doing every little thing for them :cautious::cautious: maybe even buying their toilet rolls  who knows :unsure: I don’t have some assistant.

Trip to stringer = 1 hour. Trip to collect racket = 1 hour. Stringjob = $15  Add string =:cry: Add cost going there [fuel or subway fare] =:cry::cry:

Total job cost each time is probably in the region of $90 when you factor all things o_Oo_Oo_O I stick with natural gut in mains because more durable than poly 8-B Can play with natty until the strings break, unlike poly (y)(y) Sometimes maybe can get three weeks from gut in mains :whistle:

So he went back to what he was using for a long time now. I think because he was tinkering with his strings dring the season that he started having arm problems. (But neither hin or Günther Bresnik have said anything about domis injurie)

RPM seems like a strange choice for a cross string. I'm sure he messed with ALU power rough which is what fed and djokovic use

It's pretty slick at first, so it's really not a bad option for gut mains. RPM Rough is more powerful but even slicker, so I feel like it would make a good choice for a cross as well, though I've only used rough in a full bed.
