Who do yall think the top recruit come next May be.
I'd bet both Fritz and Michael Mmoh (currently #2 on TRN in the c/o 2016) turn pro.
Razvan grigorescu, look him up no.9 on tennis recruiting
Great record, but he has not played anybody. Strange schedule.
Well this is the best class of U.S. kids to come around in a LONG time. Hard to blame college tennis for "missing out."I'm pretty sure that all of the top juniors have gone pro. College tennis has missed out on this generation. (Mmoh,Opelka,Fritz.Paul)

Razvan Grigorescu is a monster! Moved here from Romania. 140mph serve and a slice that is unbelievable to describe. He is solid on both sides and moves like a mad man on the court. He has been hard on the studies and missed some events, but check him out in Mid September for more results. Oh, one more thing. I am his coach, and EVERY University in the Country is interested in him.....every last school has called us....all of them. You all will hear of him soon, he's a great kid! Very respectful and extremely rooted. He's been a joy to have around.
He can't sign until November anyways, since that is the early signing period, Illinois is also prohibited from announcing as well until after signing day and NLI is in hand. He can commit but it is up to Clark to make anything publicAnyone know anything about Zeke Clark out of Tulsa? The rumor is that he's committed to play for the Illini, but hasn't signed his LoT yet. He supposedly won't sign until November?
My son plays USTA TX. We have never seen Razvan play. We have heard he is good but no one here has seen him. I think his coach is doing a good job promoting him but we all would love to see his record in beating the top ITA players. I can't find anything. College coaches are confused as well. They all ask my son about him. They are interested but skeptical. Also, it appears he was on the list of the 2015 recruiting class until March or April when he dropped down to the class of 2016. I was told that NCAA rules mandated you finish HS in 4 years once you start and if you want to drop down a grade you have to do so before 9th grade. Does anyone know if this is true? It's very confusing. Oh, and everyone here in TX would love to see him compete! He pulled out of the Grand Slam at the last minute and people were disappointed.

He's advertising on Craigslist in College Station to teach lessons for 30 bucks an hour, and he's representing that he's a professional player now, did he decide to skip college after all ?True. But if you read the article that talks about the top Blue Chip players you will see differently. Oh, they are doing a cover story on him. When it's done I will post the link. Here is the link is spoke of earlier: http://www.tennisrecruiting.net/article.asp?id=2317
I have watched a few videos on Nathan Ponwith. I can see why he was ranked #1 at his age.Georgia just signed the current TRN #1 - Nathan Ponwith for the fall of 2016.
youre right ou is what i meant.Big win for the kid. Papa is at OU not Okie Lite. I did see that was Papa's second match of the day but still a good win. Papa has always had stamina issues.
youre right ou is what i meant.
he beat acu's number one 6-4 6-1, sheehy shouldnt be anyone that papa has issues with. Stamina shouldnt be an excuse at top 20 level, especially against 2 unranked guys
But to unranked freshman stamina shouldn't even be in question. Obviously Razvan had to be at his level to win the first set. Especially since Papa's 6-1 6-4 win over sheehy was the first match done after he won the first doubles match as well.I agree it shouldn't be an issue but it has. Look at the number of matches he has lost in three in his career. Papa has a lot of talent but he has not always been in ideal condition. I am curious to see if he makes a big leap this year.

Edit: I think it might have been 2nd doubles he played in
Nebraska Omaha beats Nebraska huskers4-3
Razvan beats Toby Boyer 6-3 4-6 6-1
Not sure if it's really self-promotion, "Coach Manny." But, cmon..kid is "going to maybe be on tv?" Laughable. Nice to win a a 10pt tb against a guy on the back end of doubleheader, after a match has been called, playing against a kid who apparently had the flu, and is also notorious for playing some matches with minimal effort. Sigsgaard was down match pt the day before against Sheehy from Abilene Christian and won in a 10pter after the match was called. Sometimes, guys who are way better don't care at that point. They should have some pride to not lose to an unranked player from an unranked team. Congrats for a great win. But, this kid's fall results were awful and I would be surprised to see him go .500 at 1 against the average/unranked bcs or midmajor teams on their schedule. Nothing against you mate, but hyping up a guy on a 10pter is a "sell" for me.
Just out of curiosity, why did Razvan choose Omaha for his college tennis as opposed to a better program where he would be matched up against better players in practice and in matches. I frankly had forgotten about him until he beat Papa. Did he have other offers? Without a doubt he could contribute at power 5 schools.
Deacbb......he had an offer from every school in the country, I will not name them all because I don't want to get anyone in trouble. And when I say "every school" that means any university with a formidable team. The difference is he is a Physics wiz kid from another planet and wanted the best fit for him. After looking at options like Harvard, Colombia and Cal.....making visits and then visiting Omaha, he decided to go to the place where he was going to be more involved on campus and have a chance to be on the lead research team for contract assignments and possibly lead to him being part of patents and innovations. Not all young adults make decisions based on what people think and what the status q may be. Some young men have parents who mentor them into greatness in many other ways. It just so happens that this young man (who scored a 2,280 on the SAT) decided to take an option that was better suited for him. Oh, and he knew absolutely no English when he was 15, by 16 he was communication responses and by 18 he was scoring high on the SAT and perfect 800 on Subject Test SAT MATH I & II, also perfect score on Physics Placement test. If it were any other kid, I'm sure he would be getting praised for this, but because guys like some of the other on here....its all about discrediting someone until they prove other wise. I will just keep him positive and moving forward. Good talk.
