Tornado vs Ace 18 vs Lux BB ALU - brief review...

Have my three Head LM Radical Midplus racquets strung at 52/54. One with Signum Tornado 1.23 (Gosen OG Sheep Micro Super cross), one with Luxilon BB Ace 18 (with Tecnifibre Multifeel cross), and one with Luxilon BB ALU Power 16L (with Yonex Tour Super 850 cross).

I realize in a perfect world all racquets would have the same cross string...but the world isn't perfect.

Power: Tornado > BBALU > Ace
Spin: Tornado > Ace > BBALU
Control: Ace > Tornado > BBALU
Feel: Tornado > BBALU > Ace (although I felt the Tornado got a little 'mushy' after about 3 sets)
Movement: Tornado > Ace > BBALU (although, even though the Tornado had the most movement, none of them really moved much)

Of the three I would definitely use the Tornado in the LM Radical Midplus. Nice touch, soft feel, excellent control, and the most spin out of the three. Although I might have to go up in tension or use a bit crisper cross string...really didn't like the 'mushy' feel (especially when it didn't feel like it translated into extra power). However, next to the other two the Tornado did have the most power.

No, the world is not perfect, but reviewing three strings with three different crosses is beyond pointless. I'd be embarassed to post this.

Maybe I should have just put mains in the racquets and left out cross strings all together. If you use any cross string other than what you're using for the mains, then you really can't tell how the string plays anyway.

So anyone on these boards who posts what a string plays like in a hybrid is obviously wasting their time commenting on that particular main string.

So maybe my post was pointless...hey, I guess we have something in common...so was yours!
