Tournaments you'd like to attend in the next 5 years?

Like in Soviet Russia, make 5 year plan, follow 5 year plan, embrace success!

If my business allowed me, I have had a prepared outline of Halle-Wimbledon. It's hard to take 2 weeks off in the summer for me.

Otherwise Washington-AO-Basel(provided Fed is playing)-Rotterdam-Dubai and again, if I can take time off in the summer MC looks so nice.

No, no plans to go to French Open.

As someone living near Toronto, I've been to the Rogers Cup several times in the past, including this past year, and geographically, the USO would be the most convenient major for me to travel to. However, I have ALWAYS wanted to visit both Wimbledon and Roland Garros (especially Wimby) since both places have such a rich history in this awesome sport.

Some honorable mentions include MC, AO, Dubai and Rome. The tournament at Acapulco seems like a great lively venue too and the shore there is gorgeous, it's unfortunate that the city itself is FARRRR too big of a safety risk to travel to

I am going to IW for my 6th and maybe final trip
Not going to Cincy for my 4th time due to horrible rain

Wimbledon (apply in the ballot every year), Queens (as it is in London) then at some point in the next few years, I'd like to go the the US Open as I've never been to New York and also the Australian Open as I've also never been to Australia.

Been to the French and Wimbledon before so it would be great to tick off all the slams.

Once I finally went to USO I go routinely now Labor Day Weekend. Stay at Queens at an Air B&B is possible and flights should be cheap if on a Thursday.

Attended RG last year and it was amazing experience, so obviously want to repeat, but not this year, 2020 maybe.

Also would really like to visit USO, my friend in NY been inviting me for a loooong time, maybe 2019 is the right moment to do it.

Can’t say much further cause there is no assurance Big3 will continue playing after 2020, but it would’ve be great to see Nadal winning Monte Carlo for 14th or 15th time. This tournament is unbelievably beautiful. :D

I actually thought Djokovic will finish this random italian in 2hrs at most and I’ll still have time to visit Louvre that day, but it turned out I was wrong. So high drama, about 3/4 people on Court Lenglen cheering for this guy from nowhere, and this 4th set tiebreak was something special.

Man oh man, those who prefered Chatrier that day lost a lot.

I get to watch most of the Australian tournaments I want to see because of location and time off over the holiday / summer period.

Priorities for overseas tourneys:
1. FO - The best of the best - if you haven't been, go. Nothing like it.
2. IW - Never been but everyone tells me it's a tennis purist's dream. Always enjoy reading @dgold44 commentaries about it.
3. Rome - Have been hooked on clay M1000 since my first visit to Monte Carlo, but Rome is the best.
4. USO - under-rated as one of the toughest challenges in tennis and an electrifying tennis fan experience.
5. Barcelona - The best red clay in the world (imo)
6. Acapulco - Has vaulted Dubai to become the biggest tourney in the weird February period of the calendar. Would really like to go and see it given that the setting is so good and now that the fields are so strong
7. Japan Open - Geographically close to me, and an interesting tournament to see classic fast HC tennis

Probably AO for me. Surprisingly for a Brit, I haven't been to Wimbledon, but its never really excited me the same as other surfaces.
I like clay the most, so have just bought tickets for Rome this year, which is the only clay event ive not been to ( Out of RG and the masters ).

I will keep going for the Wimbledon ballot, and if I get them ill attend one day, but yeah AO, USO and Indian Wells or Canada id fancy next.

I don't want to be one of those people who says "You must do this...." :) Enjoy it, man. The stadium just on its own is awe inspiring.

One thing I would say is be careful in terms of coming and going from the stadium if you want to exit the ground and go back in on the same ticket. When I went you had to get a pass out but you also had to keep your original ticket to present with your pass in order to get back into the stadium!

It's the best clay masters for pure tennis and drama you are going to love it.

I already have a ticket for semi finals day, but id read on some sites that tickets are usually still available on the day of matches, therefore obviously making it better to choose who I want to see. Is this true?
Usually I find when I travel, that tickets are all bought in advance.

I bought my tickets in advance. I was too paranoid to play it by ear. The next time I go I might try and do something similar, though. It could backfire if it ends up being a super popular match but could be worth the risk.

That semi final ticket is guaranteed to be an incredible match, though. Have a look at Rome over the last ten years and semis are pretty much always involving superstars.

I'd like to visit Wimbledon, Queens, Halle, IW, if I ever had a chance. Davis Cup is my only pro tennis live experience in Vancouver a few years ago, Milos vs Kei. I could careless about any other Slams because grass court tennis was my first love and got me into tennis. IW is the only place I could possible go within the driving distance from Vancouver, just want to see a pro tournament at least once despite being a slow hardcourt.

Not counting revisits: Australian Open, Indian Wells, Madrid, Queens, Halle, US Open, Stockholm, Vienna, Basel, Paris Bercy.

Kyoto Challenger if they stage another, more to see the historic palace and gardens but enjoy some tennis too.
