Tsitsipas Appreciation Thread

You know what, Tsitsipas reaching his current ranking is already a miracle in itself.

Look, we all forgot how Tsese Fly played in before the 2018 clay season.

I remembered watching a number of his matches especially at Challenger level, plus AO2018 back in 2017-early 2018. His serve was ordinary, ****tier than Sinner serve. His groundstrokes sucked balls, his stroke speed was powderpuff. Shapo completely dismembered him in their AO2018 meeting. I recalled thinking that this dude would never moved beyond Challenger level with out adding a few mphs into all of his shots.

I am sure many of us would have never expected Stef to move into Top 50, let alone reaching Top 5 and beating Fedal in Slams - but, he did, and this should be appreciated. I mean, look at the comments in AO 2018 YouTube highlight, many asserted that Tsitsipas belonged to Challenger not ATP.

I mean, people, especially a few years ago before FO2021, believed him to be a multi-Slam champion.

Here is my opinion that him reaching his current place so far was already great effort.

This thread means to talk about Tsitsipas as a tennis player rather than a person, so not taking into account his tweets here.
