TW Staff: Volkl C10 Pro Update for 2015?

Hi TW Staff,

I have heard (and have been told) that a cosmetic update for the Volkl C10 Pro has been planned for around September during the U.S. Open, though there has been no word on whether or not that is still valid.

To your knowledge, can we still expect the update to be released at that time?

Argh - between Volkl and Pacific ... The wait times are just killing me!

I guess German Engineering is worth waiting for huh?

Just a few quick questions though:

What are the chances of you getting a sneak peak at the new C10 Pro cosmetic?

and as far as you know, will the C10 Pro retain it's existing specs? or are there any new features up their sleeve for the new model?

I was just wondering if by any chance there is any further word on this years' C10 Pro cosmetic update?

Also, as far as you know, are there any new Volkl frames coming out in the coming months?

Fair enough - I understand as it is not September yet the meeting hasn't happened, though I thought i'd check in just to see if word is travelling at all on new frames.

Hi Brittany,

This might be a silly question, but I was just wondering what TW plans to do with inventory of the 2012 cosmetic C10 pro once the new one is released?

I am holding off on purchasing a C10 as i'm awaiting a glimpse of the new paint job before deciding; however, if I prefer the current cosmetic, I was just wondering if there would be any way to still have that available for purchase of the remaining stock?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

That mention (by me) was referring to the potential of actual new frames other than the cosmetic update to the C10 Pro. I wasn't sure whether the meeting with Volkl was strictly to discuss the new cosmetic update to the C10 pro, or whether other frames are lined up for release as well.

I think it's been made pretty clear previously here and elsewhere that the update is paint. Volkl isn't about to introduce a new model that would be so similar to the Super G 10 series

I understand that and agree with you. I have no doubts that the new C10 Pro is simply a cosmetic paint update; however, there may or may not be other, non-C10 pro related racquets soon to be released by Volkl that will be discussed at the meeting with the Volkl rep. It is entirely possible that some other frames will be discussed as well aside from the C10 Pro. That was my point by mention of other frames.

Sorry for not having any updates but we have still not met with the Volkl rep to see what the new cosmetics of the C10 Pro will look like. Unfortunately, I have no news to give you just yet! We should be having the meeting in the next couple weeks (I will check with our hard goods buyer to confirm) since the racquet is launching in around a month and I promise, promise promise that as soon as I have any new information on it, I will update this thread immediately. I have a sticky note on my computer to remind me! Thank you for your patience and I hope to give you some news soon!

I just heard back from our Volkl rep. Unfortunately, they won't have samples until a week before the racquet launches so we will not see the racquet before then. The racquet launch is now scheduled to launch right before Thanksgiving. I can give you a sneak peek of the cosmetics (from what the rep told me). It will be a black/neon yellow and the racquet will have a matte finish. There is also a new colorway of the Team Speed launching as well during the same time.

Sounds like they are going the same route as the pure aero paint job. Personally I love that color way...so it will be interesting seeing how it looks.
