Two Handed Backhanded Grip

So I got my Babolat Pure Drive GT standard today and I really love the racquet. The only thing I didn't like was the handle seemed short and not accomodating to a two handed backhand very well, which is kind of surprising because I think most players who use the Pure Drive have a two handed backhand. I guess that's why I love Yonex racquets, their handles always seem to be a little longer and perfect for two handers.

With that, I was curious, how do you guys with a two handed backhand hold the handle, are your two hands close together? Or are they somewhat separated, and which is better?

I keep them close.. If i leave too much space between them i tend to miss the sweetspot and i lose all the control

I did, I actually wrapped it with overgrip up to the bottom of the cortex piece. I didn't cover the cortex piece though. That helped a lot actually.

Yah I try to grip it so that both my hands touch, but sometimes when a ball is coming fast at you it takes a little more early preparation when the handle is shorter.

The funny thing is I have small hands, like i cannot palm a basketball at all, and I know a lot of guys who have bigger hands than me use the Pure Drive too, just wondering how you guys deal with it.

I have a couple of Dunlop Black Max that have short handle. As others have suggested, putting an overgrip will help. For a two- handed backhand, my hands are closed together.
