Just wanted to give fellow tw'ers a warning..the hard court event in Atlanta is HORRIBLE.
I was up there from Sunday untill earlier today and left very dis-appointed..
The facility: ATL Athletic Club is a great venue, but is set up for clay court tennis. They put in a few hard courts for the tourney.
There are 3 "match" courts" with 2 (only 2 practice courts)...
At the practice courts, you can stand behind the fence and look through the darkest wind screen ever and try to figure out who you are watching. There is no where to sit either....
From an accesibility standpoint....the tournament was a waste of time....
Grounds passes are 34.00 per day......(grounds passes for TMS Cincy are $20.00)
The draw was not bad with guys like Roddick, Mallise, Dent, Young, Fish, Blake, Isner....problem is you never get to see any of them practice (only matches)....
If you live in Atlanta, Nor-cross, Duluth etc....great, go and have fun, but if you are planning on driving up from somewhere more than an hour or 2 away.....save your money.
It was rough.
