This past weekend was my last time playing as a 3.5 at 7.0 mixed state. Congrats to the Atlanta that won the whole thing and good luck at sectionals. My team was the only team that gave them a team loss all weekend.
My team went 3-1 overall. We ended up coming in third behind Augusta who was also 3-1 but had one less individual loss than us ATL went 3-1 but had two individual losses. For the players we had I feel like my team did the best we could. We made a mistake playing our line up straight up against Augusta on Friday and if we had played it 3-2-1 I think we could've won it all.
This past 4.0 state has really made me not want to participate in going to state due to the fact that the Macon is always the bottom of the barrel compared to the Columbus and Atlanta teams. Also, because my family was threatened to be murdered by another USTA player. But this state felt different. I am confident that we would've the tournament if we had played our cards right but unfortunately that didn't happen. I don't think I will make another 4.0 state and I am going to try to work on just having fun even if the team doesn't get a chance to go.
