DLR would have looked a bit better before gashing his schnozzola with a twirling mike stand. His voice is not what it was though. Eddie sounds good on the axe, Alex still rocks on the drums but Wolfgang is a pale imitation of Michael Anthony.

All in all, not bad but not great either.

I watched the opening number (Panama), and had to stop after two minutes. DLR's voice is shot. He barely sang a note, talking through most of the lyrics, or trying to get the crowd to sing the chorus for him.

Eddie sounded great, though. It amazes me how effortless he makes it look.

yeah, not a huge fan, but somewhat...didn't like what I saw on Kimmel too much, and had to stop watching as well..wasn't sure if it was DLR or the sound of the show...agree about Eddie..I assume he's sober and healthy?

I'm not a huge fan or anything but didn't like how the real bassist is never included. He had good backing vox.

Michael Anthony is busy backing Sammy Hagar in Chickenfoot and their new group, Sammy Hagar & The Circle. The new act features Jason Bonham on drums and they are currently touring. I doubt I'll make it to the Orlando Hard Rock on April 27th.

Even if Michael Anthony was not busy at the moment, he wouldn't be on stage with Van Halen. The brothers kicked him out years ago and replaced him with Eddie's son.

Anyway, back to the topic, David Lee Roth sounds quite bad (not really surprising) but Eddie is really killing it on guitar! I wish they would finally get their asses over to Europe.

I have a hard time believing they would do this to themselves and us at this point in time if not for the fact they need money.
I used to like them , now im not so sure any more..

Wolfgang is a solid bass player but he can't sing like Michael Anthony. That lack of backup was glaringly obvious in those videos. Michael Anthony reinforced the vocalist with top notch harmonies. It's a signature sound of VH and without it - well you can hear how bad Roth needs them. He was never a great singer, Michael made him sound better than he is at live gigs.

These were always the 2 best singers in Van Halen.

I saw them several years back when they had that weird tour with both DLR and Sammy on tour together. At the time Sammy's singing was much better IMHO.
