Vapor transition to air max cage/ballistec

I am using the current Nike Vapor shoe.
I like the shoe but I need something more durable and a bit less low to the ground feel.

I love the fit, so my question would be:
Does the Nadal shoe or the air max cage offer similar fit?

CBs 4.3 are really high to the ground, tighter and durability oriented. Air Max Cage is in-between Vapor and CBs 4.3. Beware: they're really wide, don't take them if you don't have wide and flat feet. I'd rather look at the Asics Gel Resolution 5 if I were you. Or the Lotto Ultra Raptor 4 if you prefer a tighter fit.

Yes, that is true. I had Vapor 9 for a long time. I had to change it because of the durability issue, leading me to buy Max Cage. I love the Cage but it has the wide-front area. The difference is significant. Take Lukhas' advice.

Yes it is. Much, much wider. If you really want to have a pair, ensure you have wide feet or/and go half a size down. I have wide feet and so I did. However it depends of the user, so try a few pairs at a local store. I have wide flat feet and still went half a size down despite my orthopaedic insoles. Or get a pair of Gel Resolution 5, they are really sweet shoes. Personally, that's what I'll get after my Cages. I want more comfort and a bit of a tighter fit.

^Dude, get out of here.
Lukhas was actually a great help. Its really sad that you felt the need to post just to say that, you must be an angry person.

Lukhas, I tried on the air max cage in an 11 today and they were like boats..haha. Thanks for the advice, now I am going to order some 10.5s

Well he isn't quite wrong. That's what I did because it's hard to answer questions like this on the internet. I went in a shop, tried pairs at 10 and 11, 11 too big and 10 too short, and orderer a pair in-between. But the wider fit kinda hurts a bit my left foot arch when paired with my insoles so I'm going for a tighter fit next time. The heel is loose too.

And for the record, there are 2 stores in my city that sell the shoe and they are an hour drive away, so if I want the advice of a stranger than I will surely ask for it :)

You are asking for the advice of strangers. That was the point. I gave you some great advice too.

What are your priorities - saving yourself the time/cost an hour-long drive or getting a shoe which fits you well and which you will play tenns in for a couple of hundred hours?

If you just wanted to save money buy buying online and not driving anywhere to try them on you should have just said so.

Nice work on getting those posts removed by the way. As always, there's a moderator around to help defend the infirm from themselves.

I didn't ask to get any posts removed. Obviously it speaks for itself when your posts are so vile that they get removed. Cheers!

Which vapors are you using? The 8 or 9's? The 8's have a slightly narrow fit while the 9's have a slightly wider fit. (My teammate has told me this after he went from 8's to 9's.)

The Ballistecs have a regular fit compared to the Cages. If you want the best durability go with the Ballistecs. If you're looking for the in-between go for the cages.

Fair warning, I wore out my Ballistecs to the point of not being able to wear them in 5 months. I am close to doing that with my cages in 2 and a half months with less play time. The gap between the Cages and Ballistecs in terms of durability is HUGE.
