vegtable drinks for play

I was out of plastic water and gatorade drinks and had a large vegtable mix, carrot, tomato, celery, ..., so took it as my workout drink. I noticed it did not seem to quence my need for liquid. Im sure it also tired my body slightly since it had to metabolize the vegs ? Is this type of drink not recommended for a sports drink ? I personally will just take tap water instead of such a drink in the future.

If it was regular V-8, it is full of sodium which may make you thirstier. If your own natural mix, dunno, drink more and dilute it
