Venus has grown more glamourous with age

I know what you're thinking...just because I'm a die hard Venus Williams fan is the reason I'm posting this.... but honestly, I think Venus has really gotten a lot prettier with age. When she first arrived, she had braces and wild hair (w/ beads). Now that she's matured some, she has bloomed into a beautiful young woman. A while back, people used to say that Serena was prettier than Venus. Nowdays, It's the opposite. Serena has gained a bit of weight and Venus, for some reason, looks better now than earlier in her career. I guess she's found a look that works for her....(please note, that I am referring to the Williams sisters mostly when they are off court). Also, Venus has a much more feminine build (long sexy legs) and Serena has a bit more "junk in the trunk".

Regardless if you agree with me or not that Venus is now glamourous....you have to admit, she looks a lot prettier than Serena.

Either airbrushed or a lot of makeup. Venus has bad acne I think. Not that anyone cares about that, cause most people have some acne.

Yeah, they airbrushed Venus into a different person. Look, Venus isn't hot and she doesn't need to be. She's a great tennis player and incredibly wealthy. But if Venus wasn't famous and she walked into a bar, any bar (bar with white guys, black guys, hispanic guys, asian guys, or any combo thereof), dudes would only be looking at her because she's so tall and lanky. Venus is so tall and lanky that when she did a back flip she kicked Jesus in the mouth.

I would be considered hispanic or white? Just curiosity, it's not that I care much about race.

beauty is on the eyes of the beholder. I always thought that Venus is elegant and cute in her own way. what is your definition of beautiful? pretty? cute?

For instance many in Europe considered the flight attendant from Togo, Africa who had a child with prince Albert of Monaco beautiful, to me she does not say anything, she is without spice, yet for many she is beautiful.

I had to laugh when I saw the title of this thread...Couldn't the same be said for most every woman who doesn't blimp up when she reaches adulthood? Most women go through an ackward teen stage. You'd drink Venus' bathwater, you make no secret of that.

I agree that Venus has become more attractive as she matured. I once thought Serena was the more attractive of the two sisters. Now I think Venus is.

But let's get beyond their looks. What about their tennis? I think they are wasting a lot of potential by not (1) concentrating on tennis - they can try the other stuff later when they are too old to play competitive tennis, and (2) by not getting more full time professional coaching.

If either, or both, would do those two things they could easily get many more grand slam wins and compete for #1 and be slam dunks for HOF. Probably a slam dunk for HOF in any case, don't you think?

And why don't they team up more for doubles, practice their doubles and win some doubles slams?

Yeah, I'd give the nod to Serena in that photo. Of course, they probably smooshed her face so it wouldn't be as wide as usual. They can take anyone and make them look good with the computer graphics technology we have now. Pogo - that was funny. I think Audrey Hepburn is more elegant than the W sisters...

You don't think those glamour photos of Sharapova and other tennis beauties aren't air bushed - and I've noticed a belmish or two on Sharapova's face when the camera has come up close during a match? Only natural. She is still a teen.

But, I agree any judgements being made about who is hot and who is not are best made from photos and shots that are not elaborate posings and compositions at sittings for photographers being paid to make the subject look the very best as possible. Better to go with photos where the subject isn't aware they are being photographed - more natural settings and less posing is best. Even better, is to judge from live sitings, rather than photos or TV.

Actually i dont think Sharapova is that hot either. Too tall and lanky with a strange looking face. Sometimes she looks nice like in the Tag Heuer watch Ad but other times she just looks like a tall blonde girl in a bar with no one talking to her. People give too much credit to blondes.

Yeah, Sharapova doesn't do anything for me. OTOH, she's 17, so she shouldn't! I remember one Tag Heuer ad I saw in TENNIS where Sharapova wasn't even wearing the watch in the ad! I guess they don't expect people to look at Maria's wrist!
