Verdasco says Fed will beat Nadal in the Final

Actually most of us are making fun of the "verdasco bends over for Nadal" clique by acting "surprised" at Dasco's assesment of a fedal final(not favoring Rafa). The guy supposedly LOVES Nadal so much that he loses every match with him on purpose yet gives a clearheaded analysis of how a fedal final would act out on a fastcourt. Some puppet :)

Dasco does not love Nadal and does not bend over for him. He is just a headcase, that's all.

Good points!

I think it was the first set. Nadal hadn't figured out what to do with the wind. He was hitting too hard, playing too aggressive and the ball kept going out. So he looks at his box, it isn't clear whether he asked what to do, or he was just complaining, like ya know, "this damn wind is pushing the ball out" or whatever, but point is he communicated with his box, which is a crap idea. By Toni poker faced him. Eventually Nadal figured out himself what he was doing wrong, and then he was playing really well.

If Nadal even looks at his box the Macs start this crap. How do any of us know how often someone looks up at their box unless the camera shows us? Player B could look up to their box fifty times and if we don't see it, we don't know. A lot of players look up to and talk to their box. How do we know what they are saying? Probably just complaining.

How stupid would it be to holler instructions across mass people when two has been commentators have constantly put it out there that you are being coached? It doesn't make sense to me.

Didn't find one.

However I did find this about hearing on court:

"Q. You were complaining to the referee about the coaching by Rafael with...

PHILIPP PETZSCHNER: No, I didn't complain.

Q. No?

PHILIPP PETZSCHNER: No.

Q. Did you hear it?

PHILIPP PETZSCHNER: No, I just heard words, but it could have been "vamos" or whatever. It's anyway tough to hear if you're down on the court, because the whole arena is pretty loud.

So I don't know why he gave the warning for or if it was coaching or not. I have absolutely no idea. I can just tell if you are down there, you almost understand nothing from up there, even if they are screaming at you.

I think there was no coaching involved. That's what I think."

And this was in a much smaller arena than ashe with the players box closer to the court. Are you telling me that Nadal "communicates" with his box more easily against a loud NY crowd and with the box further out?

I'll have to look closer, but I taped it on two channels and IIRC the "communication" wasn't shown. It all came courtesy of the Mac's. They said Nadal said something to his box and Tony didn't respond.

Did the viewers see any of this? No. Did the cameras pan to it? Not that I've seen. I'll go back and look again, but I'm pretty sure it's all smoke. As usual.

Do you know a link for a vid of this situation? I've been trying to find it but nothing so far.

I understand spanish pretty well and I wanna see what Rafa was saying, if he was ASKING for help from his uncle or mouthing off to him about the ****ty playing conditions.

There is no link. It's all manufactured, at least that's what I think. I was waiting for them to show it, because I think it's unfair to say such things without providing proof. But, I surely don't believe anything someone says just because they used to hit a ball for a living.

Yeah let's all act like this wasn't posted and keep Rafa's Nads in our mouths..

I thought that was weird too. Verdasco clearly said the report wasn't true, and yet, many people continued to act as if it didn't happen.

TT is a strange place sometimes.

Do people read?

Verdasco said that as of the SF's he thought that Federer was the favourite. He never said that Fed would be Nadal in the final. And let be fair, Fed was the favourite. He played the best in the two warmups, hadnt lost a set yet, and absolutely loves NYC.
