Did anyone try out the cyclone tour with cyclone hybrid?
I was just searching for this myself. I'm new to the 18x20 world so went with full bed of 19g black. VS-Alu Rough is my favorite, but wow was that a pain to install on the dense pattern. So I just want to use a full bed of thin spin poly, but not crazy cube edges because they grip too much and throw off feel shots. Cyclone looks to be eight-sided (like RPM).

So for me to get more feel, and open up the sweet spot, I'm going to try the softer Cyclone Tour mains, Cyclone crosses in a thin gauge, and restring often. Anyone else try this, especially in an 18x20?

I'm trying to find my ideal string also. Regular Cyclone 1.25 was too springy and powerful in my 18X19 SW104 so I was looking at trying the V-Torque, which is a lower powered string. I'm hoping that because it's lowered powered, I could use a thinner gauge and get the higher launch angle I prefer, without getting too much power.

I did just install TourBite 18 (1.15 mm) three pounds tighter than I used for TourBite 1.30, but the string was really elastic during the tension pulls. I'm kind of worried it's going to be too springy.

EDIT: The 1.15 gauge of TourBite results in a stringbed five grams lighter than 1.30! The 1.30 wasn't very elastic but the 1.15 is, so that also accounts for some of the lesser weight.

I have used the 19G Black in the BLX Blade 98 and Dunlop Bio 200 Plus and it rocks in these frames.. :)

The price of standard Volkl Cyclone has certainly increased in Australia. It's RRP has gone up from around $165 AUD (96 Euros) to $180 AUD (109 Euros).

Interestingly Tennis Only has the new 1.35mm Cyclone and some of the other colours on sale for $130 AUD (78 Euros)

I used to buy 1.3mm Cyclone for the equivalent of 65 Euros here in Australia, but that usually involved some sort of special discount.

However, the price rises in Australia are to be expected. The value of the Australian Dollar against the US Dollar has totally tanked over the past few years.
