What do you guys think of Philipp Petzschner?

Petzschner beat Tommy Robredo at the Canadian Open in Mtl this week and faces Nadal in the next round. Nadal won a shortened match against Ferrer who retired with a sore left knee. Nadal will have to be sharp.

I've only seen a handful of matches of him, but I like his game, it's oldschool.

His creating some amazing points with his slice. Top20 is possible but Top10 would be very difficult.

Reminds me of Carl Uwe Steeb (look him up those who don't know who that is), a solid game, an all arounder instead of the typical "specialist" of this era, so yes more like the days of yore.

I like his ability to hang tough in a close match. When he loses in those situations he is truly beaten by the better player that day, not because he's had a hirnf*ck and hit several dozen unforced errors.

Solid in doubles and singles. A good contender. I always like to see him play.

He has a great serve and a beautiful slice backhand.

I really enjoy watching him play. Yay! :(

I saw him play a few years ago when he was around 500 ranked. I remember his super soft touch especially on his backhand slice which was magnificent already then.

Saw him play Hewitt at wimbledon and he had a pretty big serve (fastest 139mph), but was never really in the game, and his serve was keeping him in it. Could be tough for Nadal if Petzschner serves big and doesn't allow Nadal to get into a rhythm.
