Guys,

Here is something to think about...a lesser player like Djokovic was able to claw back 2 breaks of serve against Nadal who wasn't able to close out the 1st set 2 times...If not for Djoko's errors, he would have gotten the first set. Now Federer is a different beast from Djoko, what Djoko did, Federer can do much better.

Another thing, against Hewitt, Nadal wasn't able to close out the last set outright. Again, Fed is much better then Hewitt.

Nadal struggles againts Davydenko. Again Federer is much better than Davy.

What makes you think Federer has any less chance of beating Nadal, than of Nadal beating him?

My conclusion: It's anybody's match come Sunday. But, me being a Fed fan, hopes he wins.

davydenko pretty much gave away the match against fed today. he went for too much and it cost him. it was his game plan from the start and seemed to be working. fed should count his blessings that he made it to the final. i'd like fed to win but nadal looked so good against djokovic that i can't see fed winning.

just looking at the highlights, it looked at first like it would be just like that canas match in indian wells. Fed was missing the easiest shots, and often get outplayed because of hitting the ball right to davy. Somehow he managed to play from behind in each set, especially at 3-5 in the third, and still managed to win.

I agree, fed was very lucky today. If not for that, I still have confidence that fed would've won in 5. Feel bad for davy, that feeling of having a match in you hands then having it taken away is really depressing.

The point being that Fed KNOWS he can easily beat Davy and went to do some practice for how come he was playing brilliantly, not to mention serving brilliantly on the critical points? I mean 0-40, then 3 freaking aces/service winners?

I seriously doubt he will play like this against Nadal.

Roger has taken 7 sets off Nadal so far on clay, including the last two that they played. Tomorrow he only needs 3.

imo nadal shouldnt have taken that last setup
hewitt wouldve been up a break in the beginning but there was a horrible call on breakpoint
probs still wouldve lost the match tho

Yeah, but on 6 matches :p
That's an average of a barely 1 set por match. That's what he's getting tomorrow ;)

Nadal in 4 ;)

Well I'm not so sure. I think feds playing better this year. we shall see.
it's a shame we can't all sit in a room together and watch it on a big screen :)

i think both nadal and the fed are testing their game plan for each other in the semi instead of trying to beat their immediate opponent. i saw fed working a lot of BHs while nadal is esentially playing the same game plan he laid to federer during last yr's final.

this is a observation. i have nothing solid to base it on.. it seems like both of them are not playing their top tennis right now but nadal just looks that much stronger than the fed.
