What strings are you all using in your Pure Aero 98

How is the launch with this gauge? What tension?

The launch angle feel neutral to me considering it has been my reference string for the past 15 years. I tend to favor strings that can provide the sping necessary to puch opponents back but also flatten out shots to cut through the court. The Signum Poly Pro Plasma does that exceedingly well in my experience. I would also categorize it as a relatively low powered string, which allows me to take big cuts at the ball allowing me to be be aggressive and run hot without wild errors.

What tension do you use? I used the Hextreme version in the past and it is a good string.

I'm at 50lbs, which seems to work well in the Pure Aero 98.
How does the Hextreme compare to the non-shaped version?

It has been a long time since I tried the non-shaped version and so I don't think I can give a fair comparison. But how you described Plasma in your earlier post would be exactly how I describe the Hextreme too.

Update on the PTP blue in the crosses at 46lbs and Hyper G Soft in the mains at 48lbs, both 1.25. Really nice initially, soft but no sacrifice of control, but after a few hours, feels like a rocket launcher. Does Poly Tour Pro drop tension quickly?
Have to say that the launch angle in these Pure Aero's is making it difficult for me to adapt to other rackets. I'm so used to the extra lift of these.
