What year was the Big 3 at the combined best?

2011, all big 4 had more than 7380 points, Rafa actual level was higher than his own 2010, and Nole went insane. Only 2 SF spots (Tsonga and Ferrer, lost in SF) out of the 16 not occupied by big 4.

2008, all big 3 had more than 10000 points
2013 Novak's acrual level was higher than his own 2011, and Rafa went insane. If not for Rafa, Novak would have won 3 Slams plus the ATP finals in 2013, and people wpuld praise it as one of Novak's best years.

USO 2010 Novak's also displayed a higher ceiling level than his 2011 USO level, in fact in both USO SF he pushed Federer to 5 sets. Rafa ultra-inspired with his serve at the USO 2010 and it helped him to beat peak Novak.

I don't think so. Djokovic struggled vs Wawrinka. Then lost to haas in Miami I think. Delpo in IW. Baby fed in Madrid and Berdych in Rome. Then lost to Isner in Cincy.

2011 what a joke. You can't compare 2013 to 2011.

You want to draw parallels between 2010 and 2011 for Nadal but Nadal was losing to Nole time and again. He lost 6-0 vs Djokovic that year. Djokovic in fact went 3-3 vs Nadal in 2013. Never forget.

Also Novak don't need to beg. He has 2011 2015 2021 and probably 2023 as one of his best years. What Nadal has is just 2010 and we know who he faced there. 2010 was as weak as 2021 and 2023 for Nadal.

2011 was the answer. Big3 was dominant: Djokovic dominant, Federer beat Djoko at RG and nearly did so at US, Nadal didn't lose to anyone except Djoko.

2013? Big3 didn't even win all the slams.

2008? Nadal won just 1 non-clay slam, Djoko pre-prime.

2011.

Fed's level is often overlooked that year, because he didn't win a slam. But his level throughout the year was actually very high, mostly having losses to just Djokovic and Nadal.
The US Open loss was disappointing from him...but he went on a 17 match win streak after that. Obviously we already know about Djokovic's level that year.

Was tempted to say 2012, but Nadal being out after Wimbledon brings it down a bit. Fed himself also had a drop in level after Cincinnati.

2008 is also very strong, but Djokovic's Wimbledon performance brings it down a bit. Also Fed didn't really play well on hard courts that year...outside of the Open.
