where the butt meets the hand

Now that I have your attention...just wondering, where do you folks have your gripping hand in relation to the butt of the racquet? Do you keep your hand from protruding down past the end of the racquet, or do you hold the racquet so that the butt of the racquet is pressing slightly into the meaty part of your palm?

I only go as far down as where my pinkie finger wraps around the butt right at the edge.

I'm right at the end but depending on the shot it varies. If I'm using a continental grip (volleys, serves etc..) it doesn't protrude over the end. On the forehand (SW) it sits in my hand slightly. On the backhand slice it also sits in my hand slightly but not on the double hander.

Strange eh ...

I have seen some people that play with their hand in the middle of the grip which I find hard to get my head around.
