It's a tough call. I voted Wimbledon 2008 for overall excitement (venue, significance in tennis history) but in terms of actual match quality, I might go with Safin SF or even Nalbandian.

nadal fed and safin fed is almost a tie but wimbledon is the holy grail of tennis, so...
and I love the darkness that gave it a drama never before seen on a tennis court.

I think either the Safin one, or the Wimbledon one. The Australian Open final just fizzled out so hard in the 5th, and the Nalbandian match he basically just tanked the third and fourth sets once down a break. The USO 11 semi would be close with the other two, but the fact that the underdog lost that one and won the others takes the excitement factor out of it a little bit for me.

Fed vs Djokovic USO 2011 was the only one that aired after I became a tennis fan, but even I must admit Wimbledon 2008 was probably more exciting (even though I never watched the match since it would be too painful).

I watched highlights of this match today.

It's AMAZING.
Can someone explain why Nalbandian never won a major? What a talent!

Either Safin vs Fed or Nadal vs Fed(AO '09).
I dont't think 2008 was that exciting. Fed was pretty much servebot during whole match.

.
even any fan away from tennis would disagree with you.
rarely has justice been done to the meaning of epic.

Watch the full match instead of highlights, Federer was straight up poor for half that match - Nalbandy was excellent still but the kind of ballstriking those guys put on always looks better in highlights.
