Both players continue to experience declines in form, as it appears that age is finally catching up with them. I am curious as to who will retire first out of the two. I feel that Venus may retire sometime next year at the age of 40 and Sharapova potentially at the end of this year.
Don't get me wrong, I love Venus and am not wishing for her to retire, but it is something she should really consider, as she is no longer the force she once was at slams in terms of her movement, even her serve which really aided her success in 2017, appears to have diminished.
