One of the biggest reasons that I was an A-Rod fan is because he unapologetically encapsulated all the good and bad of pro athletics.
You want to see work ethic, determination, intensity, willingness to try everything to elevate one's game, all in a guy who's willing to give his opponent full credit win or lose with no excuses? Watch Roddick highlights.
You want to see a dude who takes his competitiveness over the line, acts like a spoiled baby, mouths off like there's no tomorrow and pushes his point relentlessly whether he's right or wrong? Watch Roddick highlights.
Marat Safin. He reminded fans that pro athletes were human, no matter their other endowments. I find it difficult to relate to Federer and Nadal, both are ice-cold under pressure, and are extremely disciplined on and off the court.
Nadal isn't ice-cold under pressure, he is one of the most emotional players ever. Federer is ice-cold, but he is one of the least clutch players. That makes your statement that Fed and Rafa aren't human look ignorant.
Nadal - Exciting tennisI'm a fan of the one and only, the GOAT- Roger Federer. What about you?

Why didn't you watch some Pre-2011 Tennis matches before registering here?
Why do you think so? I watched how washed up Kuerten exposed Fed on clay, how baby Nadal was toying with him, how unmotivated Safin was making Fed look ordinary and most importantly how young Djokovic schooled peak healthy Fed at AO-08, the match was so one-sided that it led Fed into big depression and he got bageled by Nadal at RG and lost Wimbledon.

Look at Nadal's face, does he look like a guy who could be ice-cold or at least calm inside?:lol:By ice-cold I don't necessarily mean outwardly. I mean in their responses to pressure situations. And Federer one of the least clutch of all players? I disagree, there are people better than him for sure, but he's far from the worst. He doesn't back down in pressure situations. And Nadal is emotional when trying to pump himself up, but he doesn't have meltdowns.

Wow, thanks for your deep insight into facial analysis. It's not about how he looks, but about how he plays in crunch time. I'm sure you could find images of Federer looking nervous during a match as well, but does that prove he's always nervous? No.
Me thinks your posts are far too sensible, given the subject
Subject of the thread or target of the post?
I'm a fan of Rafael Nadal, for a variety of reasons, but primarily because of his forehand, and because in 2005 when mens tennis was threatening to become an obscenely boring spectacle where one guy repeatedly beat up on a parade of headcases, flakes, and no hopers, along comes this kid from Spain, of great sporting stock, with a flair and pomp and energy that reminded me of the double A in his early days (my childhood favourite) and he basically gave the finger to the authority, and proceeded to become one half of one of the great sporting rivalries of the modern era.
For me he made tennis interesting again, he made it a contest again. All his doubters, all the traditionalists all said his game was so extreme he'd be washed up by his mid 20s, that despite being 5 years younger than Federer his career would probably end first (to be fair, that could still happen :lol but ten years down the line he's still out there, and setting longevity records.
I'm not a fan of anyone, I don't worship anyone in any field.
But I like the style and personality of Fed the most.
I love tons of other players, higher and lower ranked. A lot of them, I don't want to list them. Fed is just slightly on the top of my list.
But, still even if Fed didn't exist, I would still have plenty left to watch tennis. In the grand scheme of things it wouldn't change that much for me.
So you are a huge RF fan and wouldn't watch if he didn't play? Got it.

Funny stuff.... Not saying you are an obsessive Fed fan! Gotcha!
Federer - style, grace, longevity, great role model, great husband, and great father.
how the hell do you know he's a great husband and father?????
You don't know him. Stop pretending you know him.
Nadal - he has shown us all that tennis is a clean sport.

LMAO talk about butt hurt.
We know what has been presented to us and that is what we have to base our opinion off of.
He has been married to Mirka for years and she appears to be happy. If she was not why would she have kids with him on two different occasions?
He brings his family on tour with him. He takes time off from the tour to be with his family during important moments.
You must not be a parent our spouse yourself otherwise you would have a little more perspective.
Despite what image they try and project to the world it would be impossible to hide an unhappy marriage with their level of exposure. You would not see Mirka in the stands at dang near every Federer match and you would not see her traveling the world with their kids.
Back in your hole little troll.
Nadal is the most watchable for all sorts of reasons: style, charisma and passion being amongst them.
