Why am I tired against player A and not against player B

Similarity: both have big forehand and try to hit all ball with fh. The shots I have to handle are pretty similar. I can challange both player, until I am not tired.

Against both player is the warm up 10 minits and the match 50 minits and against both 7-8 game. Against both player I play mostly to the bh corner.

Difference: player A have better backhand, B have better running fh. A player stay on the baseline, B stay 1 m behind the baseline. Against A I am in 30-40 minits tired, against B not.

I have the feeling that against player A are the rallies somewhat longer, but than why the same 7-8 game in 1 hour?

What can be the reason, that against A player I am tired, against B not?

(My weak tips: 1. against A I am a little hectic, becouse he stays on the baseline 2. I schould against A more to the weaker running fh hit the ball.)

I thank for any tips

Hard to understand but maybe 'B' player takes more time to run around BH. 'A' player takes time away and hits BH...

Agree with oble, player A takes time away from you resulting in a rushed preparation or you need to swing faster to compensate.

Player A hits 1m "earlier". Less time for you to recover, see, react, so you are more engaged during points

I play with a guy like your type A but he is really, really smart. He mostly plays on the baseline, though he prefers to play inside the baseline and plays behind it when forced to. He is very good at redirecting the ball to where you are not. It isn't necessarily with pace. Sometimes it's high, sometimes it's soft sometimes it's very hard but the idea is to throw you off balance or make you work harder. That's the advantage of playing inside the baseline if the responses aren't deep. My adaptation has been to greatly increase fitness - and to hit heavy topspin balls deep to drive him behind the baseline if I can get to neutral. Federer does the same thing. He likes to dictate from inside the court and I think that this accounts for his longevity compared to, say, Nadal, who plays more from behind the baseline - way behind the baseline.

Who hits harder?

In general, folks who hit hard, but don't quite have the directional control, tend to hit in the centerish of the court, so you don't have to move much, and you don't need to small adjusting stpes becaus their ball is going through your strikezone (just need to move left/right).
Pushers and no pace junk ballers require quite alot of footwork, and require you to move up and back (as well as left and right). They tend to give and easy sitter, but you have to work to get into position for it.

I'm gonna guess that the guy who stands back has longish swings (ie. and needs to give himself space to take a full swing), and hits hard.

The guy who hugs the baseline is probably a pusher/blocker. His strokes are compact, and just uses the incoming pace, and probably doesn't give much pace in return (unless this is high level tennis - and the baseline hugger is an Andre Agassi type - but *most* folks that hug the baseline, that I play, are not the AA type).

my $0.02.

Anyone who plays 1+ M behind the baseline all the time is a pusher and those are the ones who make you really tired. I just played a match against a perfect pusher and I felt like I was dying after the second set.
But the OP gets more tired against the non-pusher guy which makes me think Player A is a better player than the OP and makes him run around the court. Player B is a pusher but not a good one. The OP feels the rallies against Player A lasts longer but it doesn't make any sense unless Player B makes a lot of unforced errors which pushers don't.

The incoming balls are about the same.
At my level -3.5-are they not pusher, they try to dictate the points with the fh, and if there is a passibility try to hit winners.
I would be interessed, how much more reaction time l have against player B.

Which player makes you move laterally the most? Do you run more against one more than the other. Does one pull you in and force you back
more? You could be covering more ground against one than the other.
