Why can't the WTA players outside of a few can't serve?

Serena Williams, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Samantha Stosur Svetlana Kuznetsova, Nadia Petrova, and Petra Kvitova are the only women I think who got a good first serve.

The rest of the WTA Tour their serves are too shaky and can break down like Maria Sharapova's serve.

Most players like Radwanska, Azarenka they just spin their serves in.

Why don't the coaches of these female players teach them how to serve?

Azarenka's serve is not a weakness but for such a big strong woman she doesn't bend her knees enough her serve can be more explosive but she uses too much arm.

I think some female tennis players worry about looking feminine than being physically fit. Some of these players they don't seem to be in the best physical condition either like Kvitova.

The serve is the toughest shot to master, it requires a lot of full-body coordination. It could be that women are just less coordinated than men and struggle to really master this skill (outside of a few, like you said).

It is not a matter of technique but of body type and strength.
I suppose I do not have to explain to you that men and women are different?

Or perhaps you would like to see female tennis players who look like 70's Eastern European female weight lifters?

This, plus the fact that, as Navriltilova once said, the racket technology gives the returner such an advantage that in the womens game, the gals are usually better returners than servers. Which puts so much more pressure on the server, and if your technique is already unsound then well......

The service ball toss takes a lot of strength to master also. These girls just don't have the body type to master that.

Steffi Graf, Serena Williams, Samantha Stosur, Nadia Petrova, can serve huge. I think a lot of these WTA players are lazy they don't work on the fitness in order to increase their strength and don't put enough effort into developing a good serve.

Sabine Lisicki has arguably a better first serve than any of those mentioned, Serena included.

I'd like to hear your argument.

Sabine has NO CONTROL on her serve, its big and booming yes, but not consistent, or particularly well placed.

The serve really helps Serena.

Her natural strength helps her a lot, but the placement is excellent as well. Kudos to her.

Best serve among women of all time. Sam Stosur has arguably the greatest second serve in the game.

ball toss is too high, too stubborn to lower it. Even former pros that had a high ball toss, said if they could start over would lower there ball toss
