Will a Nadal victory be the greatest comeback in tennis history?

It was epic af, but I still prefer AO 2017. Even though it’s historical value is now minimised.

AO 17 way better comeback. Federer actually beat very hard opponents from 3rd round including Nadal in final. Nadal has a legit hard opponent tomorrow though.

Nope.

Fed was playing on his favorite surface. And he wasn't behind 2-0 sets.

Rafa was injured even harder than Roger and he wasn't even playing on his favorite surface.

Wilander confirmed it was EASILY the biggest comeback in the open era.

As far as the F goes in a vacuum, I think so yes. To comeback from 2-0 (something he hadn’t done since Wimby 07 vs Youzhny), at his worst schlem (an event he hadn’t won in 13 years), after foot surgery and having rona less than a month earlier at the age of 35.5 is just insane. For me it’s the most impressive comeback in men’s tennis.
