I am no where near good enough yet to get sponsored by them. But if when I do start playing USTA tournaments this year and I get good and get a high national/sectional ranking. If anybody has been signed with either Nike or Wilson, what is your national/sectional rank, and what did you get? Did you get a partial of full sponsorship? thanks.

I have a partial from Wilson and my national ranking is between 100-150. I got a partial sponsorship. Southern Ranking is top 50. I got i think 3-4 racquets, a super six bag, grips , dampeners , a reel of wilson syn , couple packs of luxilon big banger, a couple of hats , and i think thats its for around $300. Just another thing , no one on this fourm , including me, is good enough for a full from nike or wilson. Plus i am tight with the wilson rep in my section. so that and my ranking = partial. He told me they only give fulls to top 15 in the nation and 5 in the section. Nike is top 5 in the nation , no if ands buts ors
Alright thanks man. Good to know. If you have a high section ranking but your national ranking isn't extremely high can yo still get one?

Welcome. I think you can get a partial if your top 15 in your respected section. But usually if your section ranking is top 15 you will be top 150 in the nation. But yeah you could still get one...

just to clarify, this is only for wilson. nike basically picks you and thats it, nothing else.

Yeah you have to have talent like no other! etc. top 5 national ranking or top 20 ITF or a professinal or college player

Ok, so I'm Canadian, but play in the USTA (border city) and I'm wondering, would I get a ranking??? (unofficial or otherwise??) Thanks!

Depends,if you registered and put your city as a Canadian one then you would not get a ranking.

But I mean if I asked say wilson if I'm eligible for a sponsorship, would I say an unofficial ranking, like "if I was american my rank would be 25" or something like that?? Or "My unnoficial rank is 72"??

Well are you ranked eligibly or ineligibly? It just depends whether what city you signed up for the usta.
