Wilson Blx Pro Staff 95 replacement

Ok so the Pro Staff 95 slipped off my hand while I was serving. I dropped it to the ground head first and it's now smashed. I'm looking for possible replacements although I have to say I thought it was a fine racquet and I might just buy another one of these. Do you guys have suggestions for possible replacements? I like thin beam, heavy (around 12 oz), racquets with headsize not greater than 98 and preferably open string pattern (16 x 19).

This is probably one of the funnier thread starters I've read. I find it hilarious that you broke it like that. That sucks!

In all seriousness, I think you should just get it again, probably lead it up, and get a tackier overgrip, like Gamma Supreme or Supergrap. It's a really awesome racquet, and it's absolutely perfect for customization.

It was quite a dramatic moment. We were playing doubles and of course nobody expected me to drop the racquet to the ground so violently so we all froze for 10 seconds as everyone gave me a wtf look.

The Dunlop Biomimetic 200 Lite is a very similar frame to the Wilson Blx Pro Staff 95.

I demoed both and chose the Dunlop because it was a more stable frame especially for a one handed backhand.

All 3 of my Dunlop's have the exact same specs. After adding 1 thick overgrip and a Dunlop vibration dampener they weight 11.9oz.

I had the same situation 2 weeks ago with Prestige. Second day of a tournament, fift match in two days, wanted to finish match with ace... good that i did not hurt my partner:oops:

My friend played with Blx PS 95 for a month and went back to his K Blade 93.

Dunlop 200 lite felt stiffer for me and less stable in stock form on volleys. Other then that I think they are similar.

If you liked this racket, then get the same one.

Do you think it's a stiff frame? I bought it a week ago and I am really suprised because I hoped it would be flexy frame as specs on TW and *******sports.com web. It's definitely not flexy to me.

As one of the other posters mentioned using the 90, I agree. I mean I've always found that its more of a mental factor rather than an actual change, and if you're already playing with a thin box beam you might as well demo the 90 and see how you like it, it comes 12oz unstrung, plus its just an awesome stick. Give it a demo if possible, or find someone at the local courts who has one and ask if you could spar with them and hit with it.

good luck!

I think it is more towards the middle range between stiff and flexy for me.

My racquet just before the Dunlop was a Prince EXO3 Tour which was super flexy. I also used to play with a Speedport Tour and 03 white both of which were super stiff.

I will say that this Dunlop is definitely not a racquet I want to string a full bed of poly in as it would be too jarring for my arm.

Current string setup is Prince Beast XP (mains) and Prince Premier Attack (crosses) and it is very comfortable and generates tons of spin.

Well I am willing to consider the Pro Staff 90 although I can already hear the "You're such a *******" comments coming (from people at my local club).

You should also be willing to consider them d-bags if they're going to mock you for your gear. If you have the game to back it up, who cares?

Send it back to Wilson, and explain them what appen.

If they want to "preserv" a costumer... ;)
